Eggs & bacon plate w/ biscuit instead of Texas Toast
Laura T.

Had no idea I hadn't yet reviewed them. We really enjoy Huskers. I always get breakfast food so I can't speak to the lunch menu. I especially enjoyed my plate today. Everything was cooked perfectly. We've probably been here 6-7 times. It's a bit of a drive from our house, but worth it. Servers are almost always very nice. Not always the most attentive, but I can overlook that. We'll return for sure

Huskers is a favorite place for my husband and I to have breakfast or brunch at. Everyone we have taken there has loved it as well. It's not a fancy eatery but clean, services good and the food is very good. Prices are competitive as well. Their breakfast bowls with grits are delicious! Highly recommended if you are a big breakfast foodie!

Breakfast in a Huskers Premium Bowl

The food was fresh and hot. The grits needed a bit of salt but everything else was good. The food was $22 no drink. Service was fast and accurate. The ambiance is usual of a breakfast place. They do close at 3.

This place was jammed packed but the servers were turning tables around left and right so the wait wasn't too bad. We opted for shrimp and grits/ fish and grits! Based on the photos and the advice of our sever this was a great choice! We were served out drinks while waiting on our food. Food came out shortly after! When I tell you this food was everything I needed it to be and then some! Very filling and delicious! Our service was impeccable and she gave us that great southern hospitality! Marie F, was our server and we definitely enjoyed her company! I look forward to coming back and dinning with you again! Ambiance of this place is awesome! Spacious and lots of room!

Breakfast was delicious and service was a 3 maybe cause of the time I went at 10:30 am Ambiance was like a small cafe and better than the Waffle House and so much better than IHOP. Happy tummies

Southwest omelette with toast

. We were looking for a black-owned restaurant for breakfast and Huskers kept coming up. I ordered the southwest omelette with toast and side of cheese grits. Everything came out piping hot and fresh. My guy ordered a ham and cheese omelette with a biscuit and cheese grits. His ham was way overcooked, almost burnt, so he asked for it to be recooked. They did, and he raved about the taste after he received the recooked version. Yummy food...good service...expensive prices for breakfast though. Welcome to Atlanta!

Everyone was incredibly accommodating and welcoming. The food was absolutely amazing, truly 5-stars quality across the board. The smoked filet was phenomenal, and the craft cocktails, white sangria, and wine selection were all excellent. Even though there wasn't a children's menu, the staff went above and beyond to make sure our kids were taken care of. The chef even prepared special dishes just for them, which we truly appreciated. I can't say enough about how thoughtful and accommodating the entire team was. Our waitress, Liz, was such a professional she helped us navigate the drink menu and made suggestions and brought surprises and samples based on our likes. We will be returning!

The owner has some other restaurants downtown Decature as well The "Cherokee Rose", very nice ambient atmosphere good looking restaurant. However it appears to be Family run with close friends and their kids. The Staff is not very attentive, one bartender so long waits or missed over waiting to place a drink and food order No one's really educated on the menu when asked a question about the food items. They just slide a menu in front of you as a gesture - you read it if you want to know. I can't see the small print on these menus to save my life lol I invited a industry colleague for a business dinner Ok, food review they offer an oxtail protein in the collard greens "Yummy" however I didn't find oxtail in the collard greens anywhere. My guest ordered some cwing dinner that looked like a contraption. As far as the presentation was delivered. I decided on a liquid diet after seeing the food delivery Next week I personally stopped in-for lunch wanted to give this place a chance to rebound and my full attention on a fair review. I wanted to also make sure management was there. An older caucasian woman greets me well we have a cordial conversation about my previous experience and my embarrassment at such a nice looking restaurant She was unable to believe this happened at her restaurant. Just plain disbelief and raved about the kitchen and pride that goes into her food to later having to eat those words Again, limited menu what is up with the 4-5 items to chose from. I donot eat steak fries So I just ordered the burger - medium well - not burned and it had no venison mixed or blended meat added The burger came out with old brown tarnished lettuce I sent it back for fresh lettuce . She brought it back they added thousand island dressing when I specially asked for mayo on the side which was also provided. What is going on in the kitchen I took a bittersweet bite anyways and spat it out. Took my utensils which looks like a switch blade in a fairly nice restaurant. bad esthetics decisions I knifed out The center of the uncooked raw meat of the burger and waited patiently for the nice lady to find her way back over to me I offered to just pay and leave. She ask what was the problem . I uncovered the burger and allowed her to witness fir herself Her face turned beet red and quickly said no charge and stormed off to her kitchen where I am sure like "The Oak" there was a Waffle House griller reject acting as a chef " Pictures attached : I can't make my Experiences UP! #SMH you just can't get what you pay for anywhere these days Me being a restaurant consultants. I've contacted a few franchises and alerted them to a decent food market thst can use some great affordable food options Let me help "Stone Mountain Village Grow"

Excellent.... EVERYTHING!!!! This is NOT like any other…read morestrip mall joint!!! The menu is crafted by "the gods", and is filled with so much variety that it should be illegal. Luckily, our server, King James, knows his stuff and was able to guide our table to what we wanted. He understood our desire, and the menu, so he was able to help us get what we wanted by manipulating the menu, so to speak. I had the Mr. Benedict, which is similar to the "normal" Eggs Benedict, but with the flavorful twist of adding a crab cake to each side of the English Muffin, and came with a sauce that was similar to an Old Bay flavor, but was so creamy and delicious that I couldn't stop eating. If you don't like... whatever it is you don't like, you should try this place out because they make that, only better. And if you're wary about that, they have so many other delicious things that you won't go hungry. At least, they sounded delicious, because I couldn't eat another bite of anything. To the extent that I normally try a bite of everything at the table in order to write reviews on all of it, but I couldn't do it after my meal. Highly recommend!!! You can thank me later!

Our waitress, Gena, was outstanding--attentive, professional, and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. The food was top notch across the board. The crab cakes with the Cajun sauce (Mr. Benny) were a standout--perfectly seasoned with a rich, flavorful sauce that complemented the dish without overpowering it. You can tell there's real attention to detail in the kitchen. The potatoes were seasoned to perfection--crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and cooked exactly how they should be. And the grits? Easily some of the best I've had in Atlanta--creamy, smooth, and full of flavor. We also had the fried lobster tail, which was cooked just right--crispy, buttery, and a great addition to the meal. On top of that, we tried the veggie burger, and it definitely held its own--well-seasoned, satisfying, and a great option on the menu. Everything from presentation to flavor was on point. This is not just another brunch spot--this is a place that delivers a full experience. Overall, Milk & Honey earns a solid 5 out of 5. If you're looking for a top-tier breakfast or brunch in Atlanta, this spot should absolutely be at the top of your list.

Truly a piece of culinary excellence…read more For the most part, our table stuck with appetizers, and somehow that alone delivered a full dining experience. Every single dish came out intentional, balanced, and full of flavor -- the kind of food that makes you slow down and appreciate each bite. Some highlights from our visit: Bread Basket -- warm focaccia with EVOO, balsamic, house dipping oil, and whipped ricotta (absolutely dangerous) Crab Stuffed Mushrooms -- rich, delicate, finished with a lemon butter drizzle Braciola -- parmesan breadcrumb filling, red sauce, served with focaccia Beet Carpaccio -- roasted beets, goat cheese, candied walnuts, arugula -- the perfect mix of sweet, earthy, and fresh Fried Tortellini -- cheese-filled with an nduja parmesan sauce that had serious depth Italian Spring Rolls -- pepperoni, sausage, mozzarella, peppers & onions -- unexpectedly incredible Even though we focused on starters, nothing felt small or secondary. Each plate stood on its own and showcased the kitchen's attention to detail and flavor. The drinks were immaculate -- balanced, smooth, and thoughtfully crafted. Yes, the plates looked like they came from Dollar Tree (no judgment, lol), but when the food is this good, that becomes part of the charm instead of a flaw. I'm already looking forward to going back.
