Good food, nice ambiance, sweet waitress, but when the bill came we were assured that paying separately would not be a problem. Well it was. And the 20% VAT is actually optional but it was included in the total. The manager came to the table and rudely said that we owed him money. Lol!! We each gave the waitress our credit cards she charged each of us at the table and gave us a receipt. One of my friends paid with cash and she did not get a paper receipt. She asked a few times to no avail. When the rude manager asked "for his money" my friend asked for her receipt, and the manager pointed to the original bills on the table. How is this our problem? Hmmmmm sounds like Hush needs better accounting or just wants us to keep hush about it.

Wonderful dinner experience! It was a little hard to find the entrance but we figured it out. We started with the beef carpaccio and bread which were great. I ordered the gnocchi and loved it!

The 3 star review is almost entirely owing to the slow service. We waited 20 minutes after sitting before anyone came by, which is an absurd amount of time. I complained and they finally came over and took our drink order. After that, you would expect snappy service, given that they were trying to make up for the slow start. But no, mostly slow all night. It's a shame because the food and drinks were all good to very good but that is hard to make up for. Won't be back.

We decided to come to this place based on the good reviews. However, the service really let us down. We arrived and were shown to our seats. It's a nice dining room, with a very attractive bar in the corner. However, no one came over to take our drinks order. We waited 20 minutes until my husband had to go over to the bar to complain. Then when someone did come over, he didn't even apologise for making us wait! Service did not improve from there. I had to ask for tap water three times! Really not acceptable. There was also no accommodation for food requests - the monkfish came on a bed of beans and chorizo. I asked for it without the chorizo as I eat fish but not meat. Apparently that was not possible as the beans and chorizo were pre-mixed. Any decent chef could have whipped up an alternative base for the monkfish, especially as the menu is pretty extensive. The food we did order was good. Hence the 3 stars. Though good but not great. My watermelon and feta salad ticked all the right boxes. My lobster/crab salad was also enjoyable. The sourdough with maple butter was delicious (who'd a thought!).

Cute terrace with lots of flowers and green "grass" on the ground. Central location, just off oxford street. Price was kind of expensive but keep in mind that it's London and a good location. We had one main each and two side orders which was more than enough. The toilets are worth a visit. And so are the photographs on the wall on the way to them.

Service was super attentive when I came by for lunch today. We ordered a range of starters which were all delicious - tuna tartare, scallops and burrata with asparagus - but quite easy to put together. The mains were well sized and pretty good but unmemorable which for the price you're paying is not great. If this place was slightly cheaper I could definitely see myself coming back but you can get better value for money at so many other places in London, especially for lunch.

The visit of Glasgow Elite Martyn M to London gave Andrew M and me an excuse to go out for another dinner. Not that a Yelper needs any excuse to go out for dinner! We agreed on Hush as the menu looked promising. The name Hush suggests that they want to keep it a secret and indeed, the restaurant is a little hidden away off the main street. A word of warning to ladies wearing high heels - the path is downhill and cobbled - Andrew and I were royally entertained by a pair of glammed up ladies struggling down in their high heels. We did offer to help but our chivalry was declined It was one of those in between London weather days and we weren't sure whether to sit in their inviting outdoor area or play safe and sit indoors. In the end, we went safe! The restaurant certainly aims to be high end and the clientele fit that bill. Opposite the upstairs bar, there is a wall of various celebrities doing the shush finger to lips pose Being typical Yelpers, talking made it hard to order but we eventually managed to get starters of dressed Dorset crab with avocado and the pulled pork, Yorkshire pudding, apple and calvados. These were a good start to the meal. The crab was freshly picked and given enough pep to liven it up and still be the starring main ingredient. The pulled pork was good by British standards but can't match the American BBQ joints For main, I enjoyed my half lobster with taglierini, tomato and chilli, which once again had nice ingredients to lift the starring lobster. Martyn pronounced himself very pleased with his steak. I think Andrew regretted not getting steak as well because his fishcake was rather dry and underwhelming We rounded off our meal with blackberry sorbet, Mar bar cheesecake and sticky toffee pudding A great evening with a visiting Yelper. Food was 4 stars overall if you ignore the fishcake but they lose a star for the price

Located on Lancashire Court, tucked away behind loads of buildings, lies Hush. I did have to ask for directions to get here even whilst I was on the street, but I got here in the end. Last night I was invited to a yelp event dinner by Yee Gan O, who arranged a dinner for me whilst I was down in London, which was delightful! Andrew M also attended, and it was fantastic getting to make more friends through Yelp outside of Glasgow. I arrived early, and so had a glass of white wine, which was gorgeous, while I waited. Shortly after the others turned up, we set to ordering. We were actually talking so much I think ordering 2 courses took us about half an hour, but eventually we managed it. Yee Gan and I both opted for the Crab & Avocado Salad to start, whilst Andrew went for the Pulled Pork. Both were absolutely delicious and went down a treat. Then for mains Yee Gan went for the half lobster, Andrew for the Salmon Fishcakes, and I went for the fillet steak with béarnaise sauce. My steak was cooked to perfection and was absolutely delicious. The homemade chips left a lot to be desired though, but I've often found that good steaks come with bad chips. The two guys both cleaned their plates, and food satisfaction was had for me. I've noticed that I'm the first person to review this place with 5*, but I genuinely cannot fault my experience here. The decor is absolutely stunning, the food was excellent and the service was great. It's definitely a place pretty people like to go to be seen and spend money, but that didn't influence my enjoyment. I had blackberry sorbet for dessert, which was gorgeous and sweet and delicious and rich and I just love sorbet. Andrew had the mars bar cake and Yee Gan had the hot chocolate fudge cake. Definitely recommend this place. Excellent food, excellent service and everything excellent in between. It's definitely on the pricey side, and the 12.5% service charge is popped on at the end, but I thoroughly enjoyed Hush.

Wonderful restaurant in a secluded spot which has a lovely terrace area outside for a bit of al-fresco when the weather permits. The silver room and the cocktail bar are upstairs and are a mix of intimate dining area's, a really nice bar and a larger more main stream area capable of seating larger groups. I have eaten here many times and it is one of my favourite places to go for a quiet and relaxing meal either for two or with a group of friends. Service is always good and the menu which changes form time to time is always top notch. Slightly formal but you need that for it to fell special, this would be a good place to celebrate something special, to entertain business lunches or dare I say it - for that intimate evening with a loved one. Definitely worth a visit, I think you will enjoy.

A group of colleagues and I had an event at Hush this evening and it was STELLAR. Their private room upstairs just off the bar is glitzy, cozy, and perfect for a night of fine dining. Upon entry, waitresses greeted us with glasses of champagne and we were never left with empty glasses. (Cheers to that!!) Even though their menu options for large groups was very "protein" centric, they were outstandingly accommodating to my being vegan. At no additional cost they prepared a vegan starter and main, that varied from the rest of the group. They were also very respectful of food allergies. The beet root carpaccio (pictured) was delicious. The beer root was very thinly sliced, topped with fresh arugula and drizzled with balsamic glaze. For my main, the staff crafted up a vegan risotto with barley as the center of the dish accompanied by squash and leafy greens. The squash had a truly smoky flavor and the barley was perfectly cooked. I would absolutely recommend booking an event here if you need a private room or space for a large group of guests. The accommodating nature, the vibes, the food, and the attentive service will ABSOLUTELY win you over!! Thank you, Hush!!

I think every American mother/daughter duo was checking this place out for lunch or high tea. Mom and I opted for the lunch experience in the room called "The Glade." 3 courses, for a very reasonable price. Something like 36 pounds if I remember correctly. We did this over the more pricey high tea, but that certainly looked like a good time as well. That dining room was gorgeous. The food was pretty good. Nothing that absolutely blew my socks off, except for the strawberry dessert. Everything was certainly well done, though. I mean, there's a restaurant with 3 Michelin stars upstairs - the food should be good! Would def return with new people that hadn't been before.

Those damn English scones were some of the best I've ever had - clotted cream and jam! Heavenly. Dinner in the Gallery was fun and delish as well. We started with the Korean tofu dumplings + beetroot carpaccio, both were light, perfectly seasoned and lovely starters. Mushroom arancini with carrot ginger coconut broth was well balanced and craveable. Cod brandade was delicious as well but a bit heavy, could only eat half. Pistachio chocolate peanut ganache was the perfect end to a lovely meal. It's a visual spectacle in the best way, and service was lovely as well. I wasn't sure if it could live up to the IG hype but it was fun and delicious!

The restaurant is gorgeous as well but what really makes the entire experience is the staff. From the host to the waitstaff, everyone was beyond lovely and kind. Special shout outs to Jacob from NY and Bella from Vancouver BC that were just the best. We started with the artichokes and radishes, both of which were lovely. We did the mushroom entree and the homemade tahini and pitas were to die for. Last but not least the sticky toffee soft serve was delish - I ate every single bite. We grabbed dinner reservations for 8:00 pm and were seated at a really cute booth by the kitchen pass area. I got the shiso spritz and my husband tried a couple of their mocktails which he enjoyed thoroughly. Foodwise, we got the crispy aubergine tops, sprouting broccoli, tropea onions, potatoes with creme fraiche and the mixed grill mushroom. The two standouts were the aubergine tops and the tropea onions where I was really ready to LICK THE PLATE. The onions with the ricotta were seasoned to perfection with just a bit of spice. The aubergine was breaded and fried to cronchy heaven and I could eat a bucket of these if they were presented to me. The potatoes were good but needed a touch more seasoning; and the broccoli was also a great dish but paled in comparison to the stars. The mixed mushroom main was good but not our favorite as the seasoning blend on them became a tad overwhelming for us as we ate. Dessert wise, we grabbed the miso caramel which was delicious. Service was super friendly and efficient. 10/10 you HAVE to try this place if you are in the area (or you know, trek out a bit if you're not :P) You will not regret this meal, trust me.

My starter, a classic duck terrine, kept the bar high: rich, expertly balanced, and beautifully presented. Then the meal truly took flight. The first main, the scallops, delivered a masterclass in flavor layering. Perfectly fresh and tender, they shimmered in a buttery sauce lifted by XO--comforting yet sophisticated, familiar yet inventive. A clear sign that Wild Honey takes its seafood seriously. But the dish that justified every whisper of Michelin-level praise was the venison. The cut itself was exceptional, but the execution was transcendent. Succulent texture, bold flavor, and a wild, almost ethereal depth--the contrast felt magical. Each bite was delicate yet powerful, like walking through an entire landscape of woodland aromas and game-forward richness in a single mouthful. Truly breathtaking. The signature custard sealed the evening with quiet elegance--silky, balanced, and deeply satisfying. A perfect finale to a Christmas night dinner we won't soon forget. Wild Honey delivered not just a meal, but a memory. Five stars, without hesitation.

It was perfectly cooked and came with a small cauliflower steak and frisée salad. There was nothing wrong with the sirloin steak, but as a British server in another restaurant once told me: an American should not order steak in a British restaurant. The cheese selection was excellent. Service was mostly fantastic but a letdown at the end. A server asked me I wanted port with the cheese. I said "yes." He put down a class, returned, and poured a glass of Taylor's 10. I remember thinking, this is okay but the 20 would have been nicer. When the bill arrived, I was charged for Taylor 20 instead of 10. It's only a few quid difference but the charge should be correct. I pointed this out to the server. He said he would check with the sommelier. When he returned he said I was served the Taylor 20. I had seen the bottle of 10-year with my own eyes but it seemed needless to argue. It was a disappointment after an otherwise excellent meal. Even if they thought I was wrong, they should have refunded the four or five pound difference off a check that was nearly 300 quid.

Thankfully, a friend tracked one down in Mayfair and we ended up at Gordon Ramsay's Heddon Street Kitchen. The restaurant was busy and trendy, with a lively vibe that still worked well for families, especially with their ice cream bar. Kids eat free on weekdays, which is a nice touch. Unfortunately, the service didn't quite match the energy of the room - our fries were forgotten, and our food took over 45 minutes to arrive, which even the staff acknowledged. What we tried: * Beef Wellington - Beautiful presentation, but it fell apart once we sliced into it. The beef itself wasn't as tender as we were hoping for, especially given the hype and the name on the door. * Tofu Poke Bowl - A rich aioli tied everything together nicely. The cucumbers added a refreshing crunch that kept it closer to the original poke concept. * Sea Bream - Generous portion size, but the fish was overcooked and turned out quite dry. * Kids' Mac and Cheese - Surprisingly excellent. It looked almost soupy at first glance, but the sauce was actually very creamy and cheesy, and the kids liked it enough to ask for seconds. * Kids' Meatball Pasta with Tomato Sauce - The pasta and sauce were solid, but the meatballs were dry, as if they'd been overcooked or left too long. The kids did get to enjoy the ice cream bar and loved being able to pick whatever their wild imaginations desired. Overall, with the long wait times, missed items, and some overcooked dishes, the experience fell short of what I'd expect from a Ramsay restaurant. I wanted to be blown away, especially by the Beef Wellington, but left feeling underwhelmed.
