History
Established in 1999.
Founded at the turn of the '90s by restaurateur Jamie Barber and Geoffrey "son of Sir Roger" Moore, Hush quickly established itself as a Mayfair icon after a much-heralded opening hosted by Victoria Beckham. Over the years, Hush has remained a staple on the London dining scene, moving with the times whilst continuing to keep the effortlessly chic attitude and "members club with out the membership" feel that made it a much-beloved destination.
Meet the Business Owner: Jamie B.
Jamie trained as an entertainment lawyer at leading media law firm Harbottle and Lewis where he acted for a wide range of clients including Sir Roger Moore. In 2000, Jamie got his first taste of restaurant ownership leaving Harbottle and Lewis to work with Sir Roger's son, Geoffrey, to create a new venue, Hush, which has established itself as one of London's institutions, winning the Tatler Restaurant Award's "Best Restaurant of the Year" in the Test of Time category. Since Hush, Jamie has become the man behind many of London's leading restaurants including Cabana, the Rio Street Food group, Hache, the burger connoisseurs, Villandry, Kitchen Italia and Sake No Hana.
