As a parent, I have seen firsthand what a game changer it is for a child to have 1:1 support that comes from someone other than Mom and Dad. My daughter has worked with Jan at EC. Would HIGHLY recommend this tutoring company to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and professional…read moretutor or executive function coach to work with their child. We have used this service for the last two and half years and cannot tell you how much we have benefited from the support of the coaches that have worked with our son. His confidence has improved with his writing, learning how to organize his thoughts better when tackling history and English Language Arts assignments. He's doing more than just the bare minimum, including more descriptive language and details. He's proactively creating outlines while reading to set himself up for success when trying to remember details later for questions or discussions. He's gotten better at self-advocacy, reaching out to teachers via email, when he's unsure of how to tackle an assignment or something isn't working correctly vs. just ignoring the issue. All things he wouldn't dream of doing on his own two years ago. Added bonus is that it has taken some of the pressure off of us, his parents, and the stress it was causing us when "nagging" him about his homework and missing assignments. Just wish we would have started sooner!!

This is going to be long, but a must read!!…read more If you've been struggling with the LSAT let me be the first to say it has NOTHING to do with your intelligence!!! Read that again. It doesn't matter how many times you've took the LSAT or who got into law school before you. Your time is coming. I've took the LSAT MULTIPLE times and have a history of underperformance on standardized tests. I never understood why until I found Shana. I never thought for a second that I possibly could be suffering from test anxiety. Test anxiety takes on many forms, but Shana will help you through it. I've been working Shana for the past two weeks remotely and let me tell you she's truly God sent. Whether you're religious or spiritual (maybe neither) it doesn't matter, but she's truly a blessing. Shana is passsionate about the work that she does and her students. Shana is a teacher at heart and she breaks down the material in such a way that things start to click instantly. Shana not only helps you master the LSAT, but she provides you with test anxiety strategies that will make studying easy. I look forward to studying with Shana and doing my hw. When you work with her, she will start to peel away at the layers of your anxiety. This needs to be done in order to make progress. Your anxiety has been in control far too long and it's time to let it go. Even if you're not suffering from anxiety, adhd, or other learning disabilities Shana is for EVERYONE. Invest in yourself and get Shana on your team. Studying this time around is different. I can see and feel it. I'm much more relaxed. I still have a lot work to do, but I'm ready this time. Thanks Shana! I'll post another update once I slay the LSAT in March! P.S. I've used all the major test prep companies before. What is the difference between them and Shana? Most of the instructors have never been teachers before and only started after scoring in the 99th percentile on the LSAT. Now that isn't a bad thing, of course you want to be in a class with an instructor who aced the exam( in my opinion). However, just because you're good at something doesn't mean you're qualified to teach it. Also, if you suffer from anxiety, adhd, and other learning disabilities they might not be able to provide you with the support/accommodations that you need. Shana is and her work speaks for herself.

I am extremely disappointed with The Princeton Review's LSAT self-paced program and, more…read moreimportantly, its customer service and refund process. Before you spend hundreds or thousands of dollars, read the refund policy very carefully. If the course isn't the right fit for you, don't expect much flexibility. I found the policy to be rigid and completely one-sided, with little regard for customer satisfaction. What frustrated me even more was the inability to speak with a manager. When I requested one, I was told that wasn't possible. Instead, the customer service representative documented my questions, submitted them to management, and informed me that someone would call me back within two business days. If you have a time-sensitive issue, this process is incredibly frustrating. There is no opportunity to have a real conversation with someone who has the authority to resolve your concerns. As a Texas customer, I also found this process concerning. Texas is a one-party consent state for recording conversations, meaning I can legally record my own calls. Yet instead of allowing customers to speak directly with a decision-maker, communication is filtered through an agent's written summary of the conversation. That means management is relying on someone else's interpretation of what you said rather than hearing your concerns firsthand. This creates unnecessary room for misunderstandings and leaves customers feeling unheard. For a company that prepares future lawyers--people who are taught to value fairness, transparency, and due process--I expected a much more customer-focused approach. Instead, I experienced inflexible policies, poor escalation procedures, and a customer service model that felt designed to delay rather than resolve concerns. There are many LSAT preparation companies competing for students today. Based on my experience, I would encourage prospective students to carefully compare refund policies and customer service before choosing The Princeton Review. I cannot recommend this program.

Michelle always gives us options when selecting a tutor, and we've been so happy with the results. My older son was having so much trouble with virtual learning that he was failing every class. Michelle matched us with an amazing tutor that connected well with my son, tutored in the subjects he needed most, and tutored in executive functioning. With the tutor's assistance, that mostly turned out to be in executive functioning and walking him through the steps to write a huge history paper, my older son ended up with A's and B's for the rest of the year. My younger son needed some help in writing this past year. Michelle recommended what seemed to be an unusual pairing, but my son is so inspired by this writing tutor that instead of playing video games, he takes time to write pieces for her to go over with him and suggest improvements. My older son is also seeing her now as well and is gaining valuable feedback on how he can improve his school writing assignments.
