We hired Coops for a large scale job on our home. The…read morecarpentry and finishing work was impeccable, Corey was super professional and seemingly a perfectionist with his work. However every other aspect of the project did not go so well. Every sub-trade they hired made a complete mess of the job - and not always with full accountability from Coops on rectifying the situations (even through their 'warranty' says they will). Electricians cut wrong wires, plumbers installed cracked valves which flooded the adjacent finished room (we had to clean and remedy, they did not), HVAC people couldn't tell us how to operate their heat pump, co-op student painted half a wrong wall (it's still currently half painted a year later), excavation company damaged our concrete walkways (they re-poured it after we fought pretty hard for it to be fixed), the smoke detector they installed was faulty (which we just found out the hardway... He had told the inspector not to test it bc we had a baby!) ... and the list goes on! The project manager did not meet the hired trades people onsite. We often unexpectedly had to let them in and walked them through. He mustn't have quoted properly, because there were constant change orders to add to the final bill (for things we assumed were included - i.e. basic door handles, flooring, paint on the doors, etc... nothing unexpected) What started out with promise and positivity, did not end as well. It took about 3X longer than promised, with no real apparent reasons for delays. There were people here almost everyday.. maybe poor work-back scheduling? Or just over-promising?

I had had a break in and they damaged my door. It was a French door window was in it, and beside it was a window that looked like a door. I told him I wanted the door to be exactly the same as my original door, since my house is only four years old, they told me it would be custom-made well the door came. It was laid about two months later and it didn't fit so I was very disappointed that they seem to not be able to measure correctly so I wanted a refund of my down payment and I wanted to move on to someone else, but they refused to let me do that, so I was trapped into waiting another over two months because it was delayed For another door and then they told me it was because my it was my fault because I wanted mini blinds in the door, the same as what I had before and also because I wanted it as soon as possible and that didn't make any sense to me so I had to wait another two months or more because it was delayed for another door and the second door did not fit either. They did not measure properly. The other door also was not by any means custom-made to match the door that I had originally it had smaller windows they were more narrow by approximately 2 inches and it's at a different threshold and it's not the same door. It's not a custom-made door when I brought that up they told me custom has different meanings. Well, I know people go through customs to go into the United States for example, but that's not what that was supposed to mean so I am completely 100% not recommending coops construction under any circumstances I'm telling you you will regret it.

Fabulous Job!!! We wanted to get our garage floor repaired…read moreand epoxied, so looked online and got some quotes. The biggest factor that made us want to go with Scott (Royal Restoration) was that he is knowledgeable about cement issues. (as well as 5 star reviews) We soon found out, it's not as easy as getting a bucket of epoxy and throwing some flakes around! This was a big process with many steps involved, including equipment such as a diamond grinder, and other tools. This was not a one day job! Our garage floor had some moisture issues which required a vapour barrier. Thankfully we had Scott with cement knowledge to deal with it, or even be aware of it. Most of the time, two of Scott's workers were here, Rick and Matt, who were super polite, worked very hard, and got the job done. They were also conscientious and particular about their work; especially with the repairs and some tedious tasks that needed to be thoroughly done. Scott was very patient with me when it came to choosing the flake colours. He always answered any of my emails or calls and showed up when he said he would. I wouldn't hesitate to hire Scott and his crew with any projects we might have in the future. I recommend him to anyone; you won't be disappointed. He put in a small bathroom floor! when putting on the baseboard he smashed the wall. so instead of fixing it correctly he took some flooring and stuck it to the wall! THEN he put the toilet back now it is seeping sewage out all around the toilet!! then the pedestal sink was stuffed in, the sink wasn't even touching the pedestal and the drain is hard to open and close! Beware of this guy!! Calls himself Brian, said his company is GREEN JOBS GALORE, But when it came to paying it was not paid to that company but paid by pay pal directly into his pocket!
