You'll both leave full. Prices are reasonable and service is friendly. When next I'm back in Liverpool, I'm headed straight to Yanni's!

Yanni's was hands-down the best fish and chips we had in the U.K. (or really anywhere for that…read morematter). The batter on the fish was so light, not at all greasy and most definitely delicious. The fish was firm and flaky... crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Served with either tarter or curry; both are super. The staff was lovely and the outside seating is perfect for people watching.

The review doesnt' relate to this order- although i wasn't overly impressed on this order i decided…read morenot to leave a review putting it down to a one off. I gave the takeaway another try as ome of the reviews seemed ok...swecond chances and all that. For some reason the order hadn't reached the takeaway - fair enough these things happen however the attitude of the staff is disgusting. i arrived, and outside were two deivery drivers loading boxes of food into a car saying "two boxes for one order is she taking the p*ss" now whether this was in regards to a customer or the boss, it's incrediby unprofessional. i went inside and was told 'no order'. i figured i would just order again, but they kept repeating 'no order' to me, didn't even offer to take the order (which would have been fine) or allow me opportunity to order. i said ok i will leave you a review to which i got "fine go on then" i got the feeling they do not care about their customers or ev en have respect for their colleagues. i nwould rather spend my money elsewhere that appreciates their customers in future.

Excellent scouse pie and chips. Gravy not as tasty but inside the pie the gravy had some nice…read moreseasoning to it with thick beef, potatoes, and carrots. Mushy peas were the real deal. My only issue is that the guys taking your order at the counter are not that friendly, talk about intimidating with their stares and silence. Very weird and unsettling.

Our experience at Docklands was a bit lackluster. We were excited to have our first fish and chips…read morein the UK so we got the Docklands Fish Special to try a bit of everything. The special had cod, haddock, calamari, scampi with chips and mushy peas. Unfortunately, we made the wrong choice as the cod and haddock was a quarter of a fillet compared to what others were having. Due to the thickness of the batter, we didn't end up with much fish at all and there was only a small nub of fish underneath it all. The calamari and scampi were good, chips were okay. We doused out box with vinegar, but couldn't taste it since it was so watered down. Overall not what we were looking forward to. Next time (if there is one), I would just get a full fillet of fish and not the 'special'.
