My husband and I biked around Copenhagen a couple few ago, and even though he gave me shit for…read morebeing a terrible cyclist, it was one of the more ridiculously idyllic ways we've spent an afternoon.
The best part of our ride was weaving through Faelledparken, a huge, beautiful park that welcomed us with a smooth, scenic bike bath. I don't think we even saw all of it, but we seemed to pass an inordinate number of lakes and gardens and enormous expanses of brilliant green.
It was a sunny day, and the sky was a marvelous blue. I gather that this isn't always true in Copenhagen, but that's how I'll remember Faelledparken, as a lovely, peaceful, balmy place. If I lived near a park like this, I might even get decent at riding a bike.
