I previously posted a poor review, which it seems cannot be edited at this time…read more After having a talk with Tim Ratley, I am updating my review! Due to the severe heat that we have dealt with this summer and Hurricane Debby among with unpredictable weather circumstances, I realize that my house is in the dead heat of the sun until around 8pm. He returned and put up my gutters, gutter guards, etc. (I did not have to do anything drastic to get my job finished.) He is a kind hearted man who wants to do the very best for his clients. He employs a man named Brian, who is hard working sin of a gun!!) Due to ordering circumstances, I received a 30 year roof instead of the contracted roof of 25 years, and the roof is just beautiful!! I chose gutters pretty much the same color as my house instead of white or a "stand out" gutter and couldn't be happier now that the roof, gutters and gutters guards are finally finished!

They were responsive to messages, showed up on time, and got the job done. It took considerably longer than anticipated, but this was due to the fixture's existing wiring rather than Nate not knowing what he was doing or running up the clock. His hourly rate ($60) is hard to beat.

After my first review, I was contacted multiple times by several different people from the business…read moreincluding the owner. I was asked to allow them to make good. Though I hesitated I am a man of second chances. Tim contacted me, wanted me to remind him of the job so he could make sure he was quoting the right thing. I did and he sent me a message quote. I ended up allowing them to the do the work not because they were the cheapest but because of the explanation of what needed to be done and how they would do it. The main issue was that I had some leaks and needed some roof repair. I also asked for some gutter guards as well. I was given a date and they showed up promptly. The main guy on site was great and kept me informed of the process. A second crew came to do the gutter guards and they do did a good job and was very quick also. During the roof repair, as the guys were walking, a couple planks were busted which caused more leaks. There was no way the crew would have known this at the time but when I realized it I called Tim back and he scheduled a time to have the crew return. Again they showed up promptly, repaired those areas and was gone in a very quick time.

I recently noticed a crack in one sash (manufacturing issue - no fault of Triad Installations!) and Paul was out that day to take measurements and coordinate a replacement sash through the warranty program. While delivering and installing the replacement sash, Paul even helped fix a strip of siding that had pulled off during a recent storm! Truly great service with every interaction.

When we met with Paul owner and then with his workman, they both said they could build the deck according to the plan. So we signed the contract. But then the workman showed up with the lumber already purchased, without a copy of the plan. They built a deck that did not match the plan. We paid them in full. We met with the supervisor and he agreed that it was not according to plan. We told them to just remove the deck and we would get someone who can build according to contract. They would not even do that. Our remedy is to go to court.

We hired this place to do a kitchen remodel and replace our floors. What was supposed to be a 2…read moreweek job took 4 months to complete. 6 months after the job was complete we contacted Richard Shaw (Chuck), the owner and guy we dealt with the entire time, and let him know the floor was breaking, cracking, bowing. The transitions were cracked, some were coming off of the floor. Cracks in the floor were found to be glued to be repaired. After a couple of months and many excuses later he finally came out and made a poor attempt to fix one part of the floor. He said he had to order more flooring and come back out. Even joking that we didn't feel like he would come back. Again after many texts messages and excuses, we finally requested a refund for the floor so we could have someone fix them correctly. We were ignored. He never returned any messages and left us with no other choice but to file a civil suit. We were trying to be patient. After 9 months of nonsense we had enough. We filed, showed up to court and were told they couldn't serve carolina home remodel. The physical address doesn't match the company apparently. So we are now left with a busted up floor that we spent thousands of dollars on and its been just over a year. We will continue to pursue legal action.

I've been told you can have that on big jobs. But thankfully with Henry and Michael in my corner I ended with a beautiful product and the journey wasn't too bad either. It started with me picking a contractor (they will remain nameless) after doing 4 estimates. I thought I picked correctly. And I guess I did in a way. I got Michael and Henry out of this after all...but the other subs and the contractor not so much. Henry and Michael looked out for my best interest throughout the entire build when my contractor didn't seem to be. I think he thought he was. I wish I had known about Headers 2 Footers before this build because the process would have gone so much smoother. But the silver lining is I had them on this build and they were a god send. They helped me get through everything the way my contractor should have been and I will have them on any future plans I have for my house as well. We are actually already talking about putting in a much needed new front porch. So if you are looking for a couple of guys with integrity, creativity, friendliness and skill to back it all up, pick these two. I promise you won't be disappointed.
