One word: fried burritos. Oh wait that's two words…read more The holy grail of convenience store foods, the elusive fried burrito cannot be found easily. But a few months ago I was on my way to my other work location and thought CJ's looked promising. I was correct! In addition to burritos they have wings, corn dogs, and all the other delicacies one should expect at a good convenience store. They have a beer cave as well. The store is also clean and the employees are friendly. Now any time I have to make the drive to the 'Quah I get to have a fried burrito for breakfast. It's the breakfast of champions.

When I was in yesterday he was making a big cash swap deal in the middle of the store over a Tito's bandana. It's just very unprofessional lately. Broadway Liquor is my go to when I start baking test recipes for the fair. They have quite the…read morevariety available and plenty of inspiration. This year I picked up some Bailey's Apple Pie, Rumchata Peppermint Bark flavor, and took my time just to walk around to look at what they had available. Everyone asks me what I do with the liquor I purchase.Depending on what it is, I will bake with it until it is gone(documenting the bottle before I toss it, so I can remember what I have used). For a very select few, I come up with a cocktail use for them around the holiday's(even the cook needs a bit of refreshment when in the kitchen). But, I am looking forward to the next State Fair and my next trip to see the crew at Broadway, to see what inspires me. They are a very nice business to have in town.

He told me my order was $2.53 and that there was a minimum charge of $5.00 when using a card. He asked if I wanted to add something else to make $5.00 and I said no, not really. So I handed the donuts back to him and said I'Il pass. This is the first time something like this has happened to me when using a card. Normally it is just a 3% or a little more up charge when using a card (if that is even charged), which would have been fine, but to have to spend $2.47 more just to use a card, no thank you! This is 2026 and if an establishment can't be up with the times, I'll move on to the next. Other donut shops have no problem with this, so that is what I did, I moved on to the next and got my 2 donuts just like I wanted and paid with the card...... Hopefully this is not just a ploy to sell more. If they have a system that is doing this, then they need to get it corrected, because some people like me will just move on down the road and won't be back. Thanks for reading the review and hopefully it has been helpful, especially if you are using a card and just purchasing for one person.........
