They treat you well; they are polite and are most certainly professional at their job and they don't fob you off, or put you under false pretences about the treatment that you are going to be receiving. I have been going here for as long as I can remember and I can safely say that even though I have hated nearly all of my experiences at this dentist they have all been safe and quick and I don't know what I was complaining about in the first place. Some of the prices are high for things like having a filling done just on the one tooth, let alone anymore, even whitening is pretty expensive, but this company is dentistry, which is under the control of the NHS. I do recommend it for all who want to get their teeth checked and their personal tooth problem sorted out and fixed! It is a small dentistry and can become very busy at times; so do please try to remember to come on time. You can get the bus there and a car or you can walk depending on where you live.

I called around a few local private surgeries and best they offer was a 4 day wait. My son recommended these guys and they gave me an emergency appt the next morning. They removed the snapped tooth no problem. Very comfortable extratraction. The staff are very helpful, thorough and efficient. Went privately for this procedure. These guys are great so much better than the bupa chain service and less expensive if you are private. If you are in a fix with your teeth dont hesitate, just book here. Pain free in 20mins. Obviously, I was quite worried so really wanted an appointment straight away in case it was anything serious (I didn't want to leave it too long). Gave Cwmbran Dental Care a call to organise an appointment and they had something available for me not 3 days later. ~ Receptionist: I dealt with Judith over the phone and she was an absolute star. Was very understanding with how worried I was and calmed my nerves. ~ Dentist: My dentist was Ruth and she was the best dentist I've ever dealt with. She was both friendly and no-nonsense, dealing with my lump straight away. Nearly cried with joy when she told me that it was non-cancerous (was muscle fibers). I have a strong gag reflex so it's difficult for me to do x-rays. I let Ruth know this and she was very understanding. The last dentist I went to kept getting annoyed with me when I gagged, even though it was something I obviously couldn't help. On the other hand, Ruth gave me tips on how to breathe properly to try and not gag and she was very encouraging! Another positive was that she was very thorough with her explanations of everything (which muscle my lump is, etc.) For £30 as a new patient including 2 x-rays, the price isn't bad either. Highly worth it for me, to give myself peace of mind as well! I'd recommend Cwmbran Dental Care to anyone!

The receptionist treat her clients like they were school chidlren and once when I called up to say I was stuck in traffic and therefore would be about 5 minutes latre for my apppointment, she cancelled it! So it was a welcome releif to be treated with courtesy by the receptionsit and actually have the dentist talk to me like an adult and explain everything in laymans term whenever he carried out a procedure. It's only a few mile out of Cardiff but to me its completely worth the trip.

After my first check up they carried out some xrays and saw that I needed two fillings. Grrr The appointment was made for two weeks time and I nearly cancelled it again and again as I couldn't bare the thought of that wretched drill! I decided in the end to be brave and attend the appointment. When I got there the receptionist remembered me from the previous appointment and the fact that I was a nervous patient. She explained this to the dentist and his assistant. Who both treated me so nicely throughout my treatment. The nurse held my hand when the dentist gave me the injection and the dentist told me to raise my hand whenever I wanted him to stop. I was very brave and the treatment was completed. It was so lovely to have such kind people looking after me. My fear of dentists has no reduced..... Well ever so slightly anyway!
