So the labs and the radiology check in processed and procedures are handled very well and very professionally. They generally run on time and observe privacy. The waiting areas are clean. Now let's talk about the ER. I came in by ambulance with an intestinal blockage. They put me SITTING UP in the waiting room (which has no security and smelled like cigarette smoke and marijuana). The sitting up position caused already terribly pain to become much worse. Finally, I was taken to the ER and given a comfortable clean room. The nurses were quite professional and kind (OK, the nurses get 5 stars), so I guess I would give the ER 1 star for that. It's diverticulitis and I know this because it's happened before but they run all of the tests needed to make sure. That's fine and good. Before that the doctor has them put morphine into my IV line even though I specifically asked for no opioid pain medication. So, ended up all woozy from that and then she gives me an antibiotic called Cipro (after the tests come back) without talking to me about any of the possible side effects or anything. She prescribed me more pain killers and more Cipro and send me home. My husband got all of the prescriptions and dropped the pain killers in the bin at Walmart. The Cipro gave me terrible hives and tinnitus. So, the diverticulitis is now cleared. The hives have cleared but I'm left hearing what sounds like peeps constantly. I should have been warned. I should have asked, but I should have been warned. I won't let my guard down again. One more thing. There are safer alternatives and medical guidelines now emphasize avoiding fluoroquinolones when safer alternatives exist. I guess the doctor didn't go to that class.

I don't know if this office is short staffed like the rest of them or what is going on, but it is…read moreso hard to get a hold of the clinical staff, and even less likely to have them call me back, or follow through with doing what I asked them to. I had asked for labs for my reproductive hormones be done because I've had PCOS for years and it seemed to have gotten better and now am at a point where we want to conceive. After talking with two different nurses I got the lab slip from my doctor and it was a metabolic panel that was ordered. No communication as to why or why not. I then was told I need to go through my OBGYN. Fair enough. Now, I have been diagnosed with psoriasis via a dermatologist referred to by my PCP at this office. My dermatologist I saw told me "I will let your PCP know that I STRONGLY recommend you see a rheumatologist" because I also have progressively worse joint pain, and that coupled with the psoriasis is a red flag and can be deteriorating. This was back in SPRING 2025. I thought to myself, "well my PCP has been notified I'm sure they'll send a referral". Wrong. So I heard nothing for months and figured I better call them. I had to call FOUR SEPARATE TIMES. Spaced a week apart each time, before I FINALLY got a call back. Only to find out that nothing was done. Ever. I was upset that they got the recommendation from the dermatologist and did absolutely nothing with that. It was noted. I told her where I wanted to go, and she said she sent the referral. That was 3 weeks ago now. Still heard nothing. So I call the RHEUMATOLOGY OFFICE this morning, and say "hey, you got the referral, why haven't I heard from your scheduling?" They informed me that THEY NEVER GOT A REFERRAL. I AM LIVID!!!! I called at 8:30am spoke with JASMINE. I told her the situation, and she said she would look into it and call me back. Well 4:30 rolls around and I said I better call because I've heard nothing, as usual. Left another message. Called the front office, no answer. Waited 20 minutes called both option 3 (clinical line) and option 1 (to make an appointment) no answer. Left another message and almost in tears at this point begging them to give me the care I deserve. Unacceptable!!!!

Still find the doctors to be very good, but things are horribly disorganized so it's hard to get call backs after leaving multiple messages. Has really shaken my confidence in continuing with the practice.

I had an extremely mixed experience at the Frisbie Memorial Hospital and I honestly don't know how…read moreI feel about the overall visit. I came here a few weeks ago because I was having severe vertigo while in New Hampshire and the walk in clinic I was at a few days prior told me to go to an Emergency Room in a few days if symptoms remained or had gotten worse. I came here at around 9AM on a Thursday and the lobby was completely dead when I came in. I was able to check in, get a private room, and start speaking with the nurses pretty fast. In my first two hours at the hospital I was hooked up to an IV, drew blood, had all my basic tests taken, and even went in to get a cat scan. The nurses were extremely friendly throughout my visit and I have zero complaints about the first few hours. Once I was done getting a cat scan, I was sent back to my room and that's where I sat with zero communication, zero water, and zero updates for three hours as I sat dizzy in a room. Once 2:30PM rolled around, the doctor finally entered the room and was not very friendly at all. She would say a couple of things and whenever I tried to respond for clarification she would just got irritated and cut me off, making it kind of hard to actually process what was going on or fully understand. Once she finished talking, she basically just left and I was back to being alone waiting for a nurse who I was able to ask a few questions to and get actual clarification. Overall, my visit to Frisbie Memorial Hospital left a pretty 50/50 taste in my mouth. The doctor wasn't very friendly and insisted multiple times that the most important thing I could do was stay hydrated even though I was left without water for the last 6 hours, so who knows. The hospital itself was fairly clean, the nurses were friendly when dealing with me, and even though my experience wasn't ideal, this is the main hospital for the area since medical centers aren't exactly all over the place in New Hampshire. My only recommendation is for the doctors to be a little more helpful when talking to people with Autism, because that one interaction ruined an entire week for me.
