Primarily a conference center and concert hall, it also houses restaurants, and various performing arts. Near the old Euskaldana shipyard, it's an ever evolving structure (a la Sagrada Familia in Barcelona). Being next to the water it provides great views of Bilbao and it's pushing of modernity.

The place is incredible. The architecture is a masterpiece and a source of pride for people from the Basque country. The most interesting thing about this theater is that it was built from an old shipyard. The place was demolished and renovated and now ranks among the top attractions. The play was incredible. The character of Violetta Valery, the courtesan, was executed with complete mastery. The place, the play, everything was perfect. I have to admit that I completely have fallen in love with this country.
