I had read about this and wanted to check it out for a long time. When you drive up, you get sketchy vibes. It's not my thing and I grew up here in Denver. Example, we drive up and had broken glass in the streets, homeless all around. Def a bit different. Once inside it's super small. We sat on this bench against the wall. It's a bit more dive feel. I cannot rave enough about this place. I am in actual mourning that I only discovered it during my last week in Denver, because I would literally come here every single week. This is not your normal coffee shop/bar. As soon as you walk in, you're greeted by one of the fabulous waiters to recommend you a seat, or to take your to go order. Then you are literally waited on the whole time. It's a full service coffee shop/bar. The decor is also soooo beautiful and such a vibe! Plants, pretty lights, and earthy woods give such a peaceful and productive energy to get some work done, or provide an environment to catch up with friends. I could spend hours in here. They also have a full coffee and cocktail menu. I got an iced vanilla latte with oat milk. It was perfectly sweet and pretty large too. I also tried the almond croissant which was decadent and huge. I'm dying to try their cocktails and the rest of their food. They look very well curated and delicious! Finally got to come here and try the Dalgona Coffee. Delicious! I've previously come here on a few dates but never got pictures of the cocktails. Hudson Hill is the perfect place for any occasion, especially happy hour. Love the customer service and variety of seating options. Street parking can be challenging but worth overcoming every time. I'll start by saying this is a super cute coffee spot, I was really excited to try the coffee here and stopped in to grab a quick coffee to go. I ordered the lavender latte with oat milk honey and cinnamon. The latte was very good, and I enjoyed it. 4 stars for the coffee and ambiance. However the $1.00 add on for everything was a bit disappointing and honestly a turn off. A sprinkle of cinnamon- $1.00, honey- $1.00 lavender syrup-$1.00, oat milk $1.00. My very small 12oz latte (that was not filled to the top) costed 11 bucks, that seemed excessive. I stopped in on a busy Saturday morning and it was packed. Customer service was decent and the wait was not bad. Very cute, chic, rustic spot. Street parking is available and right around the corner from an amazing yoga studio. Finally made it to Hudson Hill and absolutely loved it! I finished my workday here with a dalgona whipped coffee (SO good - a subtle sweetness that wasn't too much, super rich flavor overall), then stayed for happy hour with a friend! We tried the margarita and bees knees, both of which were well-executed classics. The vibe at Hudson Hill is great - friendly service and a beautiful interior. My one word of warning is that noise levels were pretty high, so don't expect to take meetings here easily. read more

I want to keep this place a secret forever but I'm afraid the word has already gotten out. The food and drinks are ASTOUNDING, the staff is kind and quick, and it's just a cute little vibe. Fun concept to have coffee + cocktails but service is seriously lacking so I'd give this place a 3.5. It took them over 10 minutes to pour a glass of wine. Come on?? Returned for a second time. The Shropshire grilled cheese is fantastic. Many of the components i normally wouldn't be too fond of individually but they come together surprisingly well. The mustard and cherry jam are things i wouldn't normally even consider for a grilled cheese, but they help balance out the pungent Shropshire. The Thai tea adds in lavender, lemon, and pineapple, with pineapple being the most prominent flavor besides the tea. Its not how im used to drinking thai tea but its a nice, different, take on it. I will say, i wish the lavender was a bit more prominent. Not pictured but the london fog was pretty good as well and i think my favorite drink so far. They seem to concentrate the tea so it tastes richer, a bit like a good royal milk tea. read more

The service was awful. No one checked on our table for 25 minutes. We requested service two times and our server ignored and walked past our table two times without any acknowledgement. She also screwed up our order and blamed the customer. And charged me for the mess up. We had to ask to the check to be fixed. I highly recommend all the servers that were working on 9/16 at 1pm be trained in observation and active listening. I would have ordered more of my drinks. But the failure to do the bare minimum by the staff lost out on business. Additionally, making people feel like second class citizens is discriminatory and rude. The most accommodating host and waiters started us in the heated tent in the back and were consistently on the lookout for a space for us inside. Hudson Hill has sat on this little corner of 13th and Pearl for a few years now, and it has certainly grown on me over time. Yes, the place is undeniably hipster. Yes, the atmosphere is super chic, with geometric tiling, wood, brick and leather dominating the design aesthetic. Yes, the live plant installments are absolutely gorgeous. But, what I love most about Hudson Hill is its consistency. The service is consistently good. The products (teas, coffees, cocktails, beers, wines) are consistently high quality. The menu is consistent in that the only "real" food, other than a few small bites, like olives, almonds, and even a chocolate chip cookie, is a luscious grilled cheese sandwich that is super hearty and just melts in your mouth. I'm not sure what type of cheese is used, but the bread is thick and nutty, and the cheese is certainly not your run-of-the-mill American cheese slices. Hudson Hill is consistently what it is. Simple, refined, itself. It's not trying to be anything else or aiming to be all things for all people. The place has a vision of its own. That is super refreshing in itself. An oasis in the city. I am looking forward to trying out owner Jake Soffes' other bar, Lady Jane. It's been getting great accolades and seems to have a similar vibe to Hudson Hill, except more nightlife-y and catering more to groups. read more

They're one of the few places that makes a Dalgona, and there's is by far the best. Their other coffee drinks are tasty, but the Dalgona is where it's at. Their grilled cheese is divine and inspired me to reconsider this simple food. They way they do it is incredible, even if you're not a fan of grilled cheese. The servers are amazing and always on it. They remember every detail about your order and constantly updated the drink menu (for cocktails). While this is one of my favorite places to work from a caffeinated state into a boozed one, it isn't ideal to post up for long stretches. They have adequate bar space and accommodate folks with a middle section with outlets, they offer table service in a relatively quaint-sized space. Just be aware and considerate of that. Parking can be a challenge, and sometimes they're insanely busy (because they're so good), but these things come with the territory and isn't a negative reflection of the business itself. read more

Allow me to praise the folks at Hudson Hill for a few minutes! Denver has been winning me over day after day with its infatuation of bars that double as coffee shops. Hudson Hill takes it a step further, because let's be honest, it's quite a looker. Gorgeous plants hang high above the bar top and friendly faces immediately greet you with a smile. "Take a seat wherever you like, and a server will be right with you." Table service? At a coffee shop? Crazy! They even bring you a carafe of water, with a glass, and pour it for you. The customer service is some of the best I've seen. Anywhere. Cold Brew (with a metal straw) was wonderful. However, don't sleep on their food menu. I ordered the Toasted Baguette, served with French Butter & Jam, and this crispy, buttery bread will be the greatest $5 you'll spend all week. I'm still astounded at the level of hospitality and professionalism from the two employees this morning. They were making all the coffee beverages, serving guests, bussing tables, cleaning dishes, and completing transactions for a full coffee shop. It goes to show that having 2 service industry pros is better than an unseasoned staff of 10. Can't wait to check out the bar program! read more

There is definitely a hipster feel to this bar/coffee shop. I loved the decor and the ambiance- people were working on laptops or chatting, it just felt like a nice place to relax. They have happy hour all day on Sunday, so I got to try their Daquiri, the Syrah, and I got a chai with whiskey. The bartender was very friendly and willing to make recommendations to ensure I got the drink I wanted, which was amazing. The chai was even decaf (which is so hard to find!). I have been on a search for my favorite cup of coffee in Denver that had great ambiance for meeting with friends of colleagues and Hudson Hill stood up to the challenge. The honey lavender oat milk latte I got was the single best cup of coffee I have come across. I also got the Thai Tea Spritz which was also lovely. The vibes here, first of all, are incredible. The workers are nice, the energy is lively, and the espresso martinis are perfect.
