An hour later I tried calling again only to get a voicemail and no response. It is absolutely unprofessional to no-call / no-show to an appointment scheduled a week in advance. The complete lack of communication is what really frustrates me. Don't waste your time. I needed a 14-50 outlet installed in my garage to charge my new EV. I found Huckleberry Electric through their great reviews on here on Yelp. I contacted Andrew via creating a project here on Yelp to ask some questions and setup an appointment. Andrew was friendly and responsive and answered all my questions and setup the appointment. As the appointment approached, I was contacted by Kadin letting me know they were on their way. Kadin and Troy arrived and were friendly and professional. They answered all my questions and even had some recommendations and advice. On inspection of my panel, they realized they needed to replace some existing breakers to consolidate them to make room for the new 50 amp breaker. They had to go get some extra breakers and on return got to work. They did a great job, nice and clean, it took them about an hour from start to finish. I'm happy I found Huckleberry. I will definitely use them again for any electrical needs I have down the road. And thanks to Yelp for taking the stress out of finding a reliable and competent electrician. read more

Had a couple of burnt out outlets, and a circuit breaker fail. Coleson came out and installed new outlets and a circuit breaker. I also had a lamp post that hasn't worked for a few months. On a follow up visit, he was able to determine that an outlet that fed the post was miswired (by another company), and fixed that too. Good communication and showed up on timely. I got an estimate from them for 2000 usd, and another company was able to provide a much simpler solution for 300 usd. I would recommend getting a second opinion before hiring them. When one of the lights popped out due to a mechanical issue 7 months after installation, I reached out to them, and they promptly came and fix it free of charge. Similar to other low reviews, huckleberry missed the scheduled appointment window with no contact. It was impossible to connect to anyone on any of the provided telephone lines for the next 24 hours. Eventually did get an email response with an apology and a request to reschedule but I can't afford to risk and waste another 2 hour chunk of time. I can't speak to the quality of their work, but communication has been terrible especially considering the price quoted. This has been the most frustrating experience I've had on this platform. Preface: the Context: My wife and I have a condo with terrible air circulation. Our bathroom fans needed replacing. I had purchased improved fans with lights for our restrooms, but we couldn't find anyone who could do the replacement work. My wife has some significant special needs, and the fans sat for more than a year before we were finally able to get them replaced. My wife found Huckleberry Electric a few weeks back, and we scheduled an appointment for the Thanksgiving week. Unfortunately, electrician jobs are often unpredictable, so we got an email from Huckleberry letting us know that they were running late, and would likely not be able to get to our job that day. Scheduling is very difficult for me and my wife, so I let them know that it would be difficult to reschedule, and we were disappointed. Andrew, the person helping to reschedule, was able to get us penciled in the following week, and fully acknowledged/validated our concerns. He took full responsibility and let us know that he'd give us a 30% discount, which is far more than they usually do for any reason. Once the rescheduling was done, they came on time the next week, and the experience really couldn't have gone any better! 1. Quality of the Work What's probably most important is just the simple assessment of the work itself. On this level, Huckleberry completely delivered. Coleson and Brandon each took on one of the fans in our two bathrooms, and they really knocked it out of the park. The work was perfect. The replacements looked beautiful and functioned exactly as I'd hope! 2. Professionalism and Friendliness Both Coleson and Brandon were very friendly and professional. Given my wife's health issue, we needed to ask them to be particularly hygienic with hand washing and to close doors behind them to reduce noise. They both were very thoughtful and considerate of our requests. We were particularly impressed with how seriously they took the request to wash hands. They scrubbed down like surgeons! We were super happy and pleased with just how cooperative they were with everything we asked for/needed. 3. Creative, resourceful, and honest. When we were first getting a sense of the job, Brandon and Coleson were concerned that they may need to cut out large portions of the dry wall to make the change happen and to properly secure the fans. While not what I wanted to hear, they were upfront and honest about it, and wanted to be sure I was clear. We discussed options, and agreed to move forward with it, but to try to ensure straight/even dry wall cuts and I'd eventually find a way to make the patches... but that ended up not being necessary! They discovered that they could do minimal trims of the drywall and secure/fasten the fans to the existing metal braces supported by the studs. The end result, as mentioned above, was that it looked perfect, functioned perfectly, and no dry-wall repairs necessary!! All in all, I really couldn't be more pleased. It was quite a bargain. If I have any other electrician needs in the future, Huckleberry Electric will be my first call. FIVE STARS!!! read more

I needed to add a new circuit for a treadmill in my garage plus a couple of new can lights in my kitchen. Unfortunately for me I happened to have a main panel that needed replacing due to safety issues. This was confirmed by two other electricians so not just a money grab. Andrew came out to provide the initial estimate which was incredibly reasonable compared to two other quotes I got. He was also my main point of contact before, during, and after the work was done. He was really pleasant and professional while he was in my home and over the phone. Aaron and Duane are the electricians that actually came out and did the work which took a little over a day (~10hrs of work). Those guys were great - very respectful of my home and no complaints about having to squeeze up into my tight attic space to get the kitchen lights wired. Two technicians from Huckleberry Electric did a consultation visit about installing an electrical outlet in my washer dryer closet so that I could install a wet switch. There was an existing outlet and I thought I would need another one. They looked up the specifications for the wet switch that I was hoping to buy on line and then looked at the amperage and voltage on my existing outlet and the plug for the washer dryer unit and determined that I didn't need an additional outlet after all. I could use the outlet that I have for both my washer and the wet switch. Because I didn't need service, I was not charged. It was convenient to schedule the consultation and the appointment was in an short time window. I highly recommend this company and will reach out to them in the future for my electrical needs. read more
