But just like the saying that there's no free lunch, you do have to "pay" for it in some ways. First of all they do highly recommend you to book in advance.,.. either by calling them or via their website. However in my experience they never cross check that you actually have an appointment when you turn up. In any case you just wait in the waiting area for your turn. Then there's the waiting game. When you book online they suggested that the haircut experience would take around 30 mins... depends on your luck I've once only waited for 5 minutes while another time I waited for 1.5 hours, but either way it's highly unlikely you'd be done in 30 mins.. as they're barber students they do take their time. In my experiences the actual haircutting time can be anywhere between 30-60 mins. Fear not that they're students.. all finished cuts are checked by the teacher to ensure that it's of decent quality before they'll let you walk out the door. So if you think haircuts are just something you need to do.. and is happy to wait for a bit then I'd recommend to give this place a try. Oh btw - without sounding too un-PC. This is a barber so their clientele are mostly male... while they won't refuse female clients it's probably not recommended.

I asked for a higher blend on the sides and he said, "trust me, you don't want to go too high." At this point I was pissed and wanted this to just end. In the US, when you say you want it cut a certain way, they cut it that way. Homeboy over here has seemed to forget that it's my hair, not his, so, I really don't care how you want it cut! I paid and jet out there quicker than you can say Peace out! 37 pounds for 10 minute clean up, No Thank you. I don't recommend this place. There are plenty of barbershops in and around London and Shoreditch that won't stop cutting your hair until you are satisfied.

I think the idea is simply brilliant... especially since men are notorious for having a penchant for efficiency and an aversion for shopping... here they can hit multiple birds with one stone. The staff here is *lovely* - I've always had really good experiences at all of the Ted Baker stores, but I found the people here especially friendly and helpful... one gentleman even escorted me over to the barbershop and saw me to the right person when I inquired about samples to take home to my boyfriend of the store's new shaving and grooming lines. Seriously, they were really really fantastic - to the point that I'd make an effort to hit this particular Ted Baker shop if I were looking for something specific from the line. P.S.
