Overall I've enjoyed my time living at the Hub, but it's definitely not perfect. As many of the other reviews mention, do not expect your apartment to be even REMOTELY clean when you move in. They didn't even bother to sweep much less wipe anything down. It looked like it hadn't been touched since the last tenants had moved out. My roommate and I live in a two bedroom two bath apartment which was supposed to include an island. For some reason on move in day we noticed our room did not have an island, so we had no kitchen table of any kind and our main room was extremely empty. We talked to the office about it and they told us to "look on Facebook marketplace for one" even though every two bedroom apartment in the hub is supposed to include an island. Our washing machine broke within a week of moving in and after days of requesting maintenance workers to come fix it, they finally sent two guys to come check it out. While these guys were in our apartment, both my roommate and I had class so we had to leave. Although the repair men did not know this my boyfriend was still in my bedroom and could hear what they were talking about. They kept making comments about how easy it is to steal from residents and my boyfriend eventually went out there so that they would know they weren't alone. Doesn't make me feel the safest when individuals who are directly hired by the hub are talking about stealing while they're in my apartment. The parking situation is probably my least favorite part. The parking garage takes at least 15 minutes every time I come or go. People also FLY around the tight corners in the garage so expect to almost get into an accident at least once a day. Homeless people break into the garage all the time and cars and broken into and vandalized often. The security in the hub is minimal even though it's in the middle of downtown which makes it feel pretty unsafe. It's extremely easy for homeless people or random individuals to find a way in. Also if you plan to have guests over the parking situation is absolutely atrocious. You are not able to scan guests into the garage so their only options for parking are the spots available on Main Street which are occupied most of the time. Those are pretty much all of my negatives but I'll mention some things I DID like about the hub to finish my review. I love the view from our room (we're on the 16th floor and can see pretty much all of Columbia). The rooftop pool is nice and I really like the gym. They have complimentary treats for certain events from time to time. GREAT location right on Main Street. Lots of walkable restaurants and campus is close. Definitely a fun place to live overall but it has its flaws.

This apartment complex is one of the worst my child has lived in. The front desk is terribly rude -…read morethe manager Morgan Brown was condescending, MEAN, and would not even have a conversation. The apartment itself was in poor condition, the maintenance requests were rarely answered and when they were they "fixed" the issue and it was broken again two days later. The resident portals were never correct and the staff did little to try and fix this issue. The gym equipment was always broken, the hallways smelled of pee and fast food, the pool that we paid extra for did not work for half the year and it again shut down, the hot tub NEVER worked. The pick and prod you for every little dime, don't even think of getting a security deposit back. The residents were told upon move in that they would be able to use an app on their phone to open doors and that has not been the case AT ALL. My BIGGEST ISSUE: The apartment complex's security issues are HEINOUS - there has been instances that creepy men have gotten into the lobby (doing inappropriate things with himself) and harassed the young women and followed them into elevators and when this was brought to the manager Morgan Brown's attention she told the resident it was a "public" place and she could do nothing about it and dismissed the scared resident completely. If you have a daughter DO NOT LET HER LIVE HERE.

The Nine is truly the worst apartment experience I have had. From the moment we moved in the WiFi…read moredidn't work, even asking the front desk multiple times and calling the WiFi it still has showed no improvements. No one in my apartment has been able to watch TV all semester. Additionally our dishwasher is not powerful at all and doesn't clean the dishes resulting in us handwashing dishes all semester. Furthermore our washer and dryer has broke multiple times this semester and even after fixing it, it still does not function consistently. This semester we also experienced a water leak in our ceiling resulting in our ceiling dripping dirty water into our apartment. Even after notifying the Nine about this issue it still took several weeks to fix. Our water heater doesn't work for the shower and my entire apartment and other residents take cool showers as there is never any hot water, even in the morning. It feels like the parking gate to enter the garage is constantly broken and not functioning due to cars hitting the post, which takes atleast a week to fix resulting in nonresidents parking in the garage. Finally there is not enough parking for residents. Multiple residents I know still pay for parking and don't have a designated parking spot. There are also only 4 guest parking spots for the entire apartment meaning guests rarely have a place to park. I don't recommend living here and would highly encourage looking into other apartments.

This place blows, it's campus housing without any benefits. You still have RAs doing room checks,…read morebut nothing else I've called the RA on duty number and no one picked up twice. Everything is falling apart the floors are stained my blinds fall when I touch them. Also all of the facilities are minimal. Like the gym doesn't even have a squat rack, the coffee machine is always out, and the computers are outdated. Also if you want to drive to class you should just kill yourself parking at the place you already live is 1000 dollars and the garage isn't even full it's at like 50% capacity. Also the thermostats are really sensitive so if you open your oven or boil something it will go off and all your roomates will attach each of your limb to the bumper of their cars and drive off in opposite directions. Also my couch has no springs if you sit in it you sink straight to the bottom of hell. The trash rooms are unavailable for probably the first two months of school and when they are they are usually backed up. The maintenance team takes forever to respond to anything I had water leaking from my roof and took them about two weeks for them to fully fix it. If you live with your bedroom next to the pool you will have people blasting music for the first two months of school and partying so sorry if you needed to sleep for an exam but Tyler, Darius, and Kevin Nguyen are throwing an epic rager right now. Also this isn't there fault but the people above me just like power slam each other into the floor and it sounds like Pearl Harbor is happening above me. Also the common space lights must be candles because they are so dim and you can't see anything without turning all of them on. In short Park Place is epic it's so epic you can't have any of the epicness I get to keep it all which is why you shouldn't live here.
