At this time it can be a pain trying to find a place to live that fits your budget and your needs. You also have to juggle the evil leasing companies and sketchy subleases so when we found this property in the neighborhood with our friends and a stones throw from UT campus we had to check it out. The house tour was super simple with an online scheduler and a wireless lockbox that opens to your code after sending in a pic of your license. Super cool to see tech starting to show up like this, making things easier. We had the pleasure of seeing the house with Dan present so we could ask questions and learn about the benefits that come with Keyrenter. We loved the house so we applied as soon as we could. The staff with Keyrenter were super communicative and made sure they got everything they needed from us for the application which was a painless process. After moving in things got even better. Dan was extremely nice and flexible with the move in times (which was great as we had a family trip scheduled right before move in). There was a kind letter and some house warming gifts from Dan and the owner that made us all feel more at home, even our cat Sushi got some treats. While moving in Dan made sure we had everything we needed and was great with communication. The old dishwasher wasn't working great and he immediately scheduled a repair visit and afterwards decided to replace the whole dishwasher with a brand new one! That was greatly appreciated. And the whole time Dan was communicating the status of everything. Also, with the Keyrenter benefits package you get some pretty sweet discounts and your filter replacements come automatically (when most properties never even do it, gross)!

Had the worst possible experience with this agency, and they weren't even our realtors. We closed…read moreon a house, and were given a key by our realtor. A realtor from this agency showed up at the house while the kids were unloading the truck and made them stop and locked them out of the house. She refused to show up to the closing meeting, and never even called. Then she refused to give us keys until the payment cleared her clients bank. We had the title and the closing contract. All signed and legal, but no keys. The lender actually had to contact the owners directly, so we could get a key to move in. What started out as a wonderful experience of homeownership, turned into a 14 hour nightmare. We did get a key, but this agency still has not given us the rest of the keys, and it's been an entire week. No contact whatsoever. The agent who showed up to harass the kids (a heavyset blond woman) is a huge control freak and has a horrible attitude. She completely ruined our day, and stole the joy we should have had, moving into our first home. I DO NOT recommend them to anyone!

They tried to get me to sign a contract that stated I would rent the unit until I purchased a property with their real estate company. When I said I was uncomfortable with that option Tom tried to sell me the rental. I told him I was not interested in purchasing the unit but wanted to rent it, he asked me for a date I wanted to "take possession." I responded with the date I wanted to start my lease. He didn't respond. I waited a few days and again emailed him the date and asked for the lease documents. No response. Finally, I called him and left a message wanting to sign my lease agreement. Later that day he emailed me saying he just finished signing a long term lease on the property. He attached the response to a leasing company basically washing his hands of everything. My husband called him that afternoon and he had no interest in helping me. He just wanted the property leased and he didn't care what happened to me. He left me in a very bad position, trying to find another property to lease with no help three weeks before I had to move from Washington state to Tennessee. This is unconscionable! This individual does not share my values! Please beware.
