one star because that is the lowest they offer. i obtained mr adkins services after my ex wife did…read morenot bring our son back at the end of her parenting time for $2000 down. i ended up getting the child back 2 days later and my ex wife's boyfriend told our son that he was not welcome at their apartment anymore and his mom was done with him. she disappeared for over 8 months with no contact with the minor child. she was not served with court papers for over 11 months and we had 2 court dates she did not attend even knowing about them. mr adkins was unable to get any consequences for anything there. upon going through the court we had enough evidence for getting the guilty plea of the ex wife willfully breaking the divorce agreement and we received a guilty plea but the some of the consequences set forth in the order were that if a party was found quilty that they would be responsible for all filing fees and lawyer fees associated with it. during court we requested a friend of the court which was mr. adkins recommendation and the fee for that was $500and i was made to pay $400 towards that with no objections in court from mr. adkins. adkins law firm charged me $2950 and i was only awarded $800 from the owen countyjudge towards my money spent. mr. adkins did not like me gripping at him about me getting screwed in court so he set a court date to quit as my lawyer as soon he got me sign a new agreement with my ex stating if i didn't hurry up and sign it i might end up liable for the exes lawyer fees as well. crazy. fast forward to today 5 months later and i find out from my ex that mr. adkins intercepted the $800 i was supposed to receive from her. i found out at the end of being his client that i owed him another $950 besides the $2000 already paid. so my ex kidnapped our child and was found guilty by a judge and adkins law firm totally blew getting what was ordered for me to receive if i won and mr. adkins bragged about getting me awarded back support for the time the mom was absent from our childs life (for the 2nd time) but he only required the ex to pay $25 per month towards the $2460 she owes. giving her over 8 years to pay that. i put my story on here so people would know. .if you are in need of a family lawyer i suggest you shop elsewhere this firm is not recommended
