Not afraid to sell clients out or to have clients take plea bargains when there is no evidence of any wrong doing, witnesses can be dead and he will lie straight to your face. The prosecutor will not have a case and he will tell you that there is lots of bad things you can't fight. Had many times I caught him in direct lies. He put a lot of time and energy into my case and I think it just goes a long way to say that he did right by me even though he was just a public defender and should be a good judgement on his character. He was highly responsive whenever I had questions and always kept me well informed on matters regarding my case. He is very knowledgeable and well educated. He did not sugar coat things and tell me what I wanted to hear. He was very honest.

I contacted Thomas Smith because of his experience, but was overwhelmed with his compassion and integrity. My first contact with Thomas Smith was an hour long conversation where I explained the details of my case, and asked a ton of questions to determine what to expect. I would email him over the weekend, and get a response back almost immediately. Experience matters to me, but just as importantly so does integrity and compassion. He listened to our pain. My family owes him more than this positive review. Our gratitude for his services cannot easily be expressed in words.
