He kept everything fun but made sure we were learning, was super patient and let us make mistakes and then calmly correct. He is a master in his trade and on top of that he's just plain funny as hell to hang out with! Everyone we met at Windward was very welcoming and friendly, the boat was spotless when we arrived, everything worked, and it had all the essentials (silverware, dishes, etc etc) that you'd find in a really good air B&B, and the marina is ideal. No question, get your sailing fix through Windward and request Capt Doug!

Great communication too. We showed up at Bay Area Park at our designated time (we had decided on 2pm). The boats were waiting and ready on the dock along with paddles and life jackets. We were offered a dry bag, but we brought our own. We were also given two bottles of water for the trip and loaned a map of the Bayou. We accidentally brought home the map. I need to return that to them. Anyway.... With a very easy launch, we were on the water and paddling. The bayou was low that day but there were no issues. Did you know there are bald eagles out there? We saw alligators but they kept their distance and so did we. However, we did stop to watch when two alligators got in a fight! Tails were in the air, big splashes... It was crazy. I've never seen anything like it and we got a front row seat. Absolutely amazing, y'all! I loved seeing all of the different birds. The osprey were so cool. And there were fish jumping out of the water near our boats. Just a surreal experience. Y'all gotta try Pinky's. Prices are reasonable and they're just super nice people. The experience on the bayou was so incredible, we're already planning to get back out there as soon as the weather clears up.

This was my second or third time using Pinky's and they were just awesome.

Wow, what a happy surprise - which isn't something you often can say at boat repair facilities. Keith, the owner, personally took expert care of my Evinrude warranty problems as well as a few other irksome items left over from several prior years at other dealerships and repair facilities. It was summer and he had me out in a couple days - you boaters know how long the waits are. And his price was really nice. He sure knows Evinrude. I went back months later with a stupid, but complex, problem of my own making. We had a laugh, he got to the bottom of it, and right out in the parking lot he grabbed some tools and fixed it. He sent me right back home with the boat minus $20. Until further notice, Keith's Dockside Marine is the Evinrude place for me. I don't know about the listed number, but I reach him at a similar number - (409) 938-3779. Thanks Keith!
