Initial Correspondence: I just want to start by saying that we had no connection to Taylor before starting this process. Our reasons for working with Taylor did not include family ties, mutual friends, etc. I was very organized and knew that finding the right agent to represent us as first time home buyers was the most important step of the process. I did my research and found Taylor's bio on many sites with positive reviews. Her credentials were incredibly impressive, and I loved that people commented on her quick response times. In this crazy seller's market, I knew moving fast was crucial. I reached out to Taylor via email and got a response within 24 hours. This says a lot, as I had heard that many buyers were struggling to get responses in a market flooded with buyers. Getting Started: We reached out to Taylor in October of 2020, knowing full well that we wouldn't be ready to buy until April or May of 2021. Yes, this is almost 8 months in advance... I had heard a lot about how important it was to be prepared, and I cannot stress how much I agree with that. Even though Taylor knew we weren't ready, she still took time to answer all of our questions. In January of 2021, she spent an HOUR on FaceTime with us (the Covid times were REAL) answering our almost 20 questions. Keep in mind, at this point we were still at least 5 months from being ready to actually purchase a home, yet she still made us feel like we were worth her time. Taylor's Connections: During the entire process, it was actually surprising when we met someone in the industry that Taylor didn't know. Most times when we put in offers, Taylor already had some sort of connection to the seller's agent. This absolutely comes in handy when the market is so competitive. We looked in both Minnesota and Wisconsin, and she knew most agents on both sides of the river. OK, THE MUSHY PART: Looking for a home with Taylor proved to be SO much freakin fun! She was always there to help us visualize the homes with our personal touches, and advise us when she felt like something was overpriced or worrisome. Taylor never showed any concern about collecting her commission. She did a wonderful job of making us feel like the process was entirely about us. I will never forget when we looked at a house in Cottage Grove with Taylor, stood in the basement, and told her it was everything we wanted but a certain feeling was missing. I fully expected her to tell us not to act on missing feelings in a crazy market. I figured, any agent is going to want to get paid ASAP, right? Nope! Not Taylor! Instead she said, "Then we're not doing it! I want you to find something that you love, and if this isn't it, then we just keep looking! We have time!" I was absolutely shocked by her response, but so so grateful! By the end of our looking process Taylor had become a new BFF. We chatted with her on the phone on our way up to our family cabin, laughed at her sweet little boys over FaceTime, and though I'm not sure she remembers, we also happily agreed to invite her to our (future) wedding! She was the absolute BEST person to work with. She was always there to pick up the pieces when the emotional toll of home buying became too much, and she always assured us that our time would come if we didn't give up. She also stayed up until midnight trying to make a deal for us one night, which I thought was pretty awesome, and she wasn't even crabby the next day! Can you say superhuman??? Recommendation: We would never hesitate to refer Taylor to anyone in the community. Her knowledge goes so far outside of anything we could have imagined. Her experience in the industry gives her a strong leg-up on her competition and it is well-deserved! Thank you for absolutely everything Taylor. As first time home buyers, my husband and I had so many questions and did not know who to turn to. We worked with 2 realtors prior to finding Taylor, and the difference was incredible! Taylor was all about making us feel heard! Pre-COVID Taylor sat down with us and went through every single document we would be signing/ seeing, and explained what it was going to be used for. That made us feel so much more at ease! If there was a home that we wanted to see, but she wasn't available, one of her team members would help and show us the home. Taylor has been able to assist in selling two of our homes and as well as assist with purchasing our last home. She was able to provide staging decorations and made our house sell in a week. She was 100% responsive to my calls, emails and texts and provided great customer service to get us the best deal we could on our property. Great realtor! Taylor was wonderful to work with and immediately understood what I was looking for in a home. I was looking for a fixer-upper starter home of a comparatively low market value, and was incredibly pleased to find that she quickly saw that, and didn't steer me into higher value homes. She even entertained my crazy idea of renovating a 130 year old bank, and though that idea didn't pan out, it was great to have her on board.
