My husband used her in past years. But recent two years she tried to increase the bill too much. I tried to communicate with her for my 401K questions since I am in middle of transfer my tax from other state to Oregon. She charged very high for just answering a simple question. She made the questions and emails very long. As I received the bill, it is around 1406$ total just for a question which rate was not disclosed to me at beginning. Actually the question I have can be simply answered by phone in 5-10 mins. And the invoice is not very clear for how many hrs she worked. I called back 2-3 time to ask itemized the cost. They overcharge the the unqualified service. ( my husband has extension tax to file, I don't know why the extension work cost over 11 hrs to do that) I asked my old accoutant the same question, my old accountant just replied one email without any charge. The answers are same and my old accountant's actually is more clarified. So be careful for the accountant with hourly rate charge. Since they can easily make a simple question very very long and give your a ridiculous bill alter. We might be OK if the service is good. But a lot of issues happended and she always tried to finished my husband tax stuff and extend at very very last min so that cause the goverment charged late fees and interest for the unupdated amended documents. Actually we did not need to amend tax if she did correct and not in last min rush. The more work they does, the more fees they charged. I believe maybe they like to make you mistakes. So you might need more serivce from them so more charge later. And the IRS problems too. Anyway, I don't know how Isler can survive in past years. And finally we are happy to find aonthe accountant in town. Anyway, I just would like to remind you that be sure to compare different CPAs before you move forward.
