The TV console is awesome with 2 speakers mounted next to the TV. The lighting is really well done on the room, daylight (blue) or yellow light. The hotel has it's own parking lot. I am not sure if you have to pay or the hotel validates it for the guests. The hallway had a wired stench, smelled somewhat like natural gas. I didn't have breakfast, so no comment on the quality/cost. The main reason I took a star off is that the minibar is advertised as complimentary but if not stuffed with adequate supplies. It had 2 bottles of water. For additional bottles, I had to buy them at the reception. This is misleading

Sorry, not good enough. by the way: we did actually get stuck in an elevator once in a dangerous situation. So the carpet shown in one of the image below is not funny.

I felt bullied. The room was okay, but the bathroom, I couldn't believe all the MOLD IN THE SHOWER , it was disgusting, I thought that maybe the cleaning staff miss to clean it that day but the next day was the same!! I think for a hotel this size it's unforgivable!!

Kastens Hotel is the best luxury hotel in Hannover, Germany. The Hotel is located on Luisenstrabe…read morein the Mitte District, a well known central street in downtown Hannover with high end shopping and upscale dining. The Bar at the Hotel is a destination in itself, small, intimate, and livly with well heeled locals, delicious cocktails with an excellent bar menu. Mary's, the on-site restaurant is also excellent. Our room was quiet however, we expected daily turndown; ice in the room and a softer mattress. The Hotel would be wise to offer mattress toppers to soften the extra firm mattresses which makes sleeping difficult and bodies sore; we appreciated the Bently House Car which was a nice touch; the delicious breakfast buffet and the attentive Bar staff. Kastens is a very charming and well run hotel. Highly Recommended.

Excellent location and wonderful services!…read more We stayed at Kastens during our first stay at Hannover, and this hotel was highly regarded locally. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here tremendously. The hotel was within 5 minutes of walking from the major train station. There were many restaurants, supermarkets, and shopping areas around. The area felt lively and safe throughout the day. We booked a deluxe room, and it had a comfortable king-sized bed, generous closet space, balconies, sitting area, and a nice sized bathroom. As for the amenities, the hotel offered a small sized gym with basic cardio equipment and free weights. There was also a separate spa area with sauna, steam room, foot baths, and relaxation room. The sauna area was only operational from 5 pm to 10 pm, but guests could request the sauna/steam rooms to be turned on during the day. As for the service, the staff was very polite and attentive. The cleaning service was thorough and quick. The manager came to check in with us to see if we needed anything. The hotel also offered a breakfast buffet for 32 euros per person, and it offered a good variety of wonderful pastries, eggs, salads, yogurt, cereal, and teas. The decor was a little dated in the hotel. Our room had shag carpets, and the color theme throughout the hotel was more like the 70s to 80s eras. However, the hotel was well kept and very clean. Our room rate was 179 euro per night, which was reasonable for its superb location, wonderful amenities, and services. Highly recommend!
