We found this hotel by accident while we were traveling to the places less traveled. The building has a lot of history involved and it was nice to hear it from the property owner. The current owner put a lot of NICE details to not only the room where we were staying, but also throughout the whole building.
The room where we stayed was on the very top floor with a balcony overlooking a mountain. Not sure of the name, but it was a nice view. You walk into the bathroom, and you can see nicely done custom pin stripes around the toilet, sink and bidet. I recommend requesting one of the top floors!
The history of the building (from what was told to us) is that this was once owned by a 1400ish Nobleman. Who then sold it to a couple where they turned it into a hotel with just a few floors. Not sure what happened in betwixt the current the two couples, but the couple eventually ended up splitting up and now the current owner owns it. There's also a history basement where I was unable to go to.
I give this 4 Stars because if it was a 5, then everything would be perfect. The beds were comfortable, but it was two twin size beds put together. The internet is fast enough, but it can be faster.
Overall experience... I highly recommend this place to anyone who is traveling outside of the tourist traps. read more
