This hotel was an experience in itself, now do note that it has a nice facade outside, despite the…read morefact that it lays beside a gaming hall, but let me tell you the inside lives up to the same standard. It has that old, cozy feeling to it. Me and my wife were there for our vacation, a see Denmark tour, and through the other places were nice as well, this one stood out, and I'll tell you why. The welcome was nice, the owner of the hotel, Gitte, welcomed us ín the reception, with a smile and all turists like us could want; See we didn't excatly give Gitte an easy time, course as soon as she had told us all the information that was required, were we showering her with question; Best restaurant, coolest things to see, what was the temperature; all that and more. But Gitte sat there, again with a smile, and calmly answeared everone of our question. Then we went to our room, and that too was deligthful, we had chosen a two person room Superior, with a balcony, it was our vacation after all. And we had all we needed, beautiful sigth from the second floor, nice couch, cute table and amazing bathroom. For dinner did we ofcourse fall on the restaurant in the hotel, which didn't fall short for the hotel experience. It was delicious, we had a 4 course meal, which included the classic and famous "Rød grød med fløde". We didn't just walk away satisfied, we walked away full. Believe me, this won't be the last time you'll see us, we'll be back miss Eriksen!

Michael's passion for gourmet food with a twist from Italian, comes from the years he worked as a cook in Italy. Now it is tastefully combined with the Danish cuisine and local products being prioritized when the menus are put together, together with the hotels other two chefs. The hotels main building consists of 30 rooms, while the newest building Thors House, has 9 state of the art rooms. Several rooms in the hotel provides the opportunity to hold parties and events of different kinds, one of which is with75 * AV screen and thus perfect for meeting / conference. Besides the restaurant premises, we also have Thisted's most beautiful courtyard- at least if you ask us. During the summer you can take a break from the shopping spree and enjoy a delicious lunch or a cold local beer in quiet and beautiful surroundings, while still remaining close to the towns center. Do note that the mentioned opening hours refers to our restaurant. Check-in for hotel rooms in available 24/7.

Traveling through for a night's stay. Our room was on the 2nd floor, parking lot view. We received…read morea room with 2 twin beds, even though we are a married couple and had booked this reservations months in advance and requested queen or larger. The beds were like cots. Very uncomfortable. The hotel is in need of updating. The previous reviews are accurate. Our room had a bathroom reminded me of an old hospital bathroom - in that it was basic and had no shower curtain - even though there were hooks in place for one to hang. All grout in the bathroom had black/moldy grout. It was really gross. The carpeting, furniture were well worn and stained. The door/window that opens to allow in fresh air was full of cobwebs. This hotel does not have a phone in the room and it does not have a/c and/or fan. So, in order to get assistance of any kind you have to walk back downstairs to the front desk - which closes after a certain hour. The tv 'cable' advertised had only a few stations. Only 1 we found to be in English. The room also had the odor of cigarettes, even though it's a non-smoking room. Disappointing beyond words. The front desk staff left after our late check-in. We tried to get another room, but there were no other rooms available - the hotel was fully booked. The pro's would be their wi-fi, the friendly staff and their dining room for breakfast buffet. It was a good spread. We cannot recommend this hotel and would never consider staying here again.
