We stumbled across this place somewhat accidentally while driving down the autostrade en route from Firenze to Roma and came in for lunch. I had the ragu and my boyfriend ordered the gnudi, both with a bottle of house Chianti, and we were blown away. We were so impressed by how delicious their food was that we came back on our way back from Amalfi en route to Peretola for our last dinner in Italy. This was hands down our best meal and favorite restaurant in Italy. For dinner we got the same 2 pasta dishes (ragu and gnudi) plus we shared the Filetto di Chianti, flooded in a sticky delicious sweet Chianti reduction. The filet was a generous portions, probably about an 8 oz filet mignon, thick cut about 2.5" thick and cooked to a perfect medium rare (without even asking cook temp). Pick up some house Chianti next door at their enoteca! We had both their tiramisu and hazelnut chocolate cakes for desserts, respectively, on each visit, and both were delicious. We were also pleasantly stunned that we could eat this much food, including wine & cappuccino, for our whole meal coming in under €60 for dinner and only about €35 for lunch. We left very full and very satisfied and I cannot emphasize enough how great the food was. Service was super nice too! Very friendly, and patient with English-speakers! We will definitely, definitely be back here. Tuscana perfeccione!

It had the beef cappuccino with recommend 100% and the tortellini with ricotta and mushrooms with truffle. Oh my God slap me Italian. Everything here has been over the top. So much better than downtown Florence. The ambience is authentic Italian. If you're looking for something that will make you feel a hug from Italy. You need to come here.

You can tell the pasta is made fresh ... I can still remember the texture ... So amazing. I also saw another table eating something delicious that we wanted to order. They look like meatballs but were actually delicious ricotta spinach balls with a little bit of red sauce. I loved it all and wish we could go back. Slightly challenging because they do not speak much English. But we were able to figure it out. If we return to Tuscany we will eat here again for sure. There's also a small meats/cheese grocery store attached if you want something to go.

Super local, recommended to my family by a local who knows her stuff. The waiters, although they didn't know English very well, worked with us Americans and we had the most amazing meal. We started with a plate of pecorino cheeses and a bowl of rustic and fresh asparagus soup. Wow. Then I had the best pasta dish of my life. A homemade fresh pasta with pesto, potatoes, and green beans. It was beyond amazing. My other companions had an onion souflee and the beautifully prepared house rabbit dish. To go along we had the house chianti. All in all fabulous, local, and well worth the trip.
