I selected it because it looked nice in the web site pictures, and because it looked like it was in an excellent location, in the Sultanahmet district.
It was a nice hotel: the proprietor and staff were friendly, breakfast was okay but with a great view (served on the roof), rooms were smallish but stylish and clean, bathroom was big, building was unique in the neighbourhood because it was wood not stone.
The main selling point of this place is the location, though. It's literally moments away from the big sights of the Blue Mosque, the Aya Sofia, and Topkapı Palace. It's two streets above the backpacker hotel street, but close to the bars and travel agents that service that area. No hill-climbing, easy access to the tram.
If a central location is your concern, this is a great place to stay. read more
