The idea that I could have an ocean view with breakfast included for 60 Euros sounded great. We were NOT disappointed. First, the hotel is easy to find and has free parking available behind it that is pointed out with a sign on the road north of the hotel. The hotel is very white and very clean. My husband kept insisting that we were probably the first people to stay in our room because he felt it looked brand new. It did look brand new and the room was quite nice and included a balcony with a view of the ocean. When we arrived, the room was a bit warm and I was unable to change the temperature on the thermostat. I let the woman at the front desk know and she came to try to help, but was not able to do so and called maintenance. A maintenance person came and worked on it until it was resolved. The woman at the front desk spoke enough English so that we could communicate, so that was helpful. The bathroom was a decent size. The shower was pretty tiny, but it had a great rain style shower head with a hand held as well, so that was great. No bathtub, though. Included was both a toilet and bidet and nice bath products. There was a television in the room, but we never turned it on as we were there such a short time. The bed was comfortable but (as seemed the norm everywhere we stayed) the covers were light. We were tired and slept fine, though. They have free wi-fi available. Breakfast was included and it was similar to what we found at most places: cereal, many breads/pastries, yogurt, fruit, and juices. It was enjoyable. Overall, this was a fantastic place to stay. The price was crazy for what we got and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling through or staying in the Trabocchi Coast area.

The apartment has everything I could ever need- full kitchen, private bath, a shared balcony and even laundry right next door. Such a nice touch to see jars of cookies and baked goods with condiments and an espresso machine at the entrance. Dominico also brought over some orange juice and yogurt for me. The apartment is close to many great restaurants and also very close to the boardwalk and beach. They have an umbrella at Saturno Club which you can pay a little extra to use during your beach days. Dominico sent me a list of recommended places to eat fresh fish, local cuisine, arrosticini (meat on a stick) and Pizza. He also suggested I check out Sulmona which is an ancient city about 1 hour away by train, and Chieti which is also an ancient city about 20 minutes away by bus. I may rent a bike while I am here to help me get around during the day (here for business). I'll update this review toward the end of my stay. By the way, if you are trying to figure out an affordable way to get to Pescara from Rome and you do not want to fly, Prontobus is the best! Only 21 Euro & very easy ~4hr ride with only a few stops depending on the time of day. International flights arrive in terminal 3- grab your bag from baggage claim and the bus will arrive in the bus area about 1/2 hour prior to departure, its big and yellow- you can't miss it. Make reservation in advance.

I had the chance to visit some of the hotel rooms, and found them very comfy, spacious, and quite affordable for a place like this. They also have conference rooms and business facilities, with amazing views over the nehbouring countryside, the mountains, and the sea ! This is truly a magnificent palace, and I can't wait to go there again !

This restaurant / beach club here has a great location. It's right on the beach at the busy Promenade (Via Aldo Moro). Besides being a bar/restaurant they also run this section of the beach, renting out chairs and parasols. But we came for the food. Jumped in the water between meals and drinks, as one of us always stayed in the restaurant, since we had our Bulldog with. Not allowed on the beach, but was very welcome here in the restaurant. We came three times for lunch. Staff and owner always friendly. Prices very fair. The menu is short and some items might not be available at times when they sold out. But there was always something good to eat. We had the fried seafood, fried calamari, steamed mussels, Pasta w/ Tuna sauce, fries, seafood Spaghetti and Seafood Risotto. It's good, down-to-earth home-style cooking. Good value and much better than you might expect from a beach restaurant. Seafood and fish was always good, always fresh. The Tuna Pasta didn't look special, but tasted actually very very good. Seafood Spaghetti were good, a bit small in size though. A bit bland was the Seafood Risotto. The only thing I wouldn't order again. Besides that we really enjoyed our lunches here. Sometimes with White wine, sometimes with Rosé. Whole bottle, half-litre, quarter-litre. Up to you. Or a nice cold beer. They also got a good selection of liquors. Good after a meal. The Amarena Cherry Liquor was a real treat. All in all a very good choice here to wine and dine on the bach. This was somewhat decent, but quite a few things could have changed my opinion in a more radical way. Let's start with positivities: the location is wonderful. Just at the bottom of the mount Majella, at "San Martino sulla Marruccina", with a nice garden and a decent view of the valley. The building is an old barn / farm completely renovated, all with old stone walls. Sublime. Another thing which is quite good is the cost, fixed at €25 per person all inclusive, and the menu, quite genuine at least for the choices available. And now the negativities: remaining on the menu, not all recipes are good. I took the "pappardelle al cinghiale" (pasta with wild boar sauce), expecting fresh tomato sauce and hand made pasta, but none of them were there. The same happened to my wife with her tagliolini with bolognaise sauce. Vegetable sauce with cavatelli was good. The second course, roasted lamb chops, were very salty. At very least, the waiter should have checked whether I'd like salty food. The salads were missing tomatoes (the one of our neighbours were not), roasted potatoes were almost floating in the cooking oil. Antipasti on the contrary was very good. The service in general was quite pathetic, slow and unprofessional. The bottle of wine was brought already open, a Masciarelli of 2014 (disgusting). The local white wine, an unknown brand, was barely drinkable. Absurd the welcoming: I had to get the attention of a waiter stopping the lady as she were rabbiting from one table to the other doing I don't know what but certainly ignoring me. This happened after I unsuccessfully tried to speak with the owner that ignored me twice, engaging a conversation with other usual guests who pop in later than me. Overall my experience was not positive, but I don't want to condemn this place, as this could be just the local "savoir fair". I may retry this place next year, and if so I will later review my feedback, in the hope this comment will be read and accommodated by the management.
