Bring cash as they don't accept credit cards. Bring time as you will want to sit and either chat or engage in some people watching. The owner is a super kind guy and will tell you all about his daily vegan special! When I walked in all the "regulars" looked up. Standing in the doorway looking around I let the atmosphere and style of this place settle with me. I liked it. Art supplies on the walls, paintings on easels, reused seating furniture in various styles arranged into little islands with modern lighting thruout created an eclectic, creative and inviting feeling. When I left I said "bye" (just out of a friendly habit not expecting a reaction from anybody) and then literally the entire cafe said "bye" to me (the "regulars"). That put a smile on my face.

I don't know if it was because of the aesthetically pleasing minimalistic interior, the artsy vibes or the amazing coffee cakes they would always have, but it was such a neat place. Wish they had something like in near me in the states! Things to note: if you're going to sit on your laptop and be doing work, you have to sit at the tables towards the back of the cafe in the studio area. You'll be asked to move back there if you don't. It's definitely meant to be more of a "come and talk with your friends/read the paper" kind of place and they don't necessarily encourage you being on your computer, but they'll happily give you the wifi password and leave you be (as long as you're buying more than one milchkaffee if you're there for a few hours)! I think most of the baristas knew English, but obviously they appreciate if you try your best to speak with them in German -- which is what I recommend you try to do. Regardless, they were all really cool, friendly, and welcoming.
