With a town nearby, you'll be able to hop into town or onto the boat to explore other towns on the lake. My family and I were on the ferry as the ferry people had allowed people to disembark and get on the ferry which really took only minutes.

Sauna is much better than the average for a 4 star hotel, but sauna connoisseurs will find it merely acceptable. I really liked it! It's a mixed sauna like most are in Germany so if this us an issue you now know before getting embarrassed. Gym is very basic, but will give you a workout to survive a 2-3 day business trip if weather does not allow a good run. During my visit they forgot to restock shampoo once, which was a bit annoying. Room was not properly cleaned every day. Sloppy. One morning I got up later and trying to show at around 8 am was not very pleasant. No hot water left... Unacceptable. List prices are too high, and for private stays I would not see it justified to pay more than 120-130 EUR off-season and a bit more during summer. Conference area and business services were great. Free WLAN, projectors working, coffe, water, fresh fruit etc. I recommend this hotel for business and it's a maybe for private stays (there are other better and more cozy hotels in the area).

There's nothing really fancy here, just good quality food…read more Portions are average sized. The fish dish I had came with homemade truffle ravioli and it was my favorite part of the meal! Everyone enjoyed their dishes and wiped their plates clean. Menu is fairly large with different meats, seafood, and vegetarian options. Check out the specials for the day! Prices are decent for the quality that you're getting. Service was friendly!

Breakfast was delicious with many options to try. It was very convenient that there was a grocerie store and convenience store in the back. We also were close enough to take a short train ride right into Marienplots.
