I took a European trip. It ended it five days in Venice, Italy. I didn't stay in Venice. I stayed in Jesolo which is just a short ferry ride away. My hotel was only a five minute walk from the ocean. I hotel room had it's only private balcony. It was a bed and breakfast. So we would get our breakfast and eat it on our balcony. The staff were so accommodating. For a responsible fee they had a private taxi pick us up from the airport. Mario was delightful, prompt and very informative. They had cold complimentary bottles of water waiting for us when we arrived. We had our own mini fridge and they were more than willing to warm up food for us at any time. They offered bus passes that you could purchase at the hotel. I truly recommend the S25 day pass that allows you for 24 hrs to ride any bus or ferry in Jesolo ,Venice or neighboring cities for free. This allowed us to see a lot of attractions in one day. They told us about the closest stops and highlighted on the schedule the times that were pertaining to us. They even supplied us with maps of both Jesolo and Venice. Our maid was wonderful. Everybody went above and beyond to make us feel at home and welcome. I found out while I was there that in general Americans stay in hotels actually in Venice, while Europeans tend to stay on the island and commute into Venice. This way you can have all the tourist attractions and a peaceful quite place to relax and enjoy the ocean. I am going back in the future and I will be using this hotel again. read more
