For a 4 star hotel, I was kind of disappointed by this place. Right when I arrived, I received a less than warm reception. The reception I got at Budapest, Hungary was much better and that hotel was only 3 stars.
My room, which was a single room was very small. I stayed in May and it was hot and stuffy inside. I don't think the AC was working properly, it said 20 degrees celsius which is 68 degrees fahrenheit but it felt closer to 27 degrees celsius. (or 80 degrees fahrenheit) I tried to turn it lower but the next day, when I got back, I found it was back to 20 degrees celsius.
Also, during the day, there were loud bangs probably due to construction somewhere close by. I didn't like how cleaning service comes around 3PM which is very late compared to other hotels that I've been to.
The location is good. It's in Kazimierz district which is the Jewish district. I heard hotels in Old Town gets a lot of noise at night due to night clubs. The hotel is really close to the tram stop for tram #3 which takes you close to Old Town as well as the main train station, Kraków Główny. Also, the hotel is close by some very nice bars and restaurants.
I checked out early in the morning before I had time to get breakfast so this girl kindly got me a to-go breakfast in a paper bag. I gotta say, that was pretty awesome. read more
