This hotel wasn't bad...but it was my least favourite place to stay during our honeymoon. We only stayed here for two nights, but I was happy to move onto the next place afterwards...
The parts we liked:
* It has a really good location if you want to climb the Sciliar's two summits, or for other walks on the Alpe di Siusi
* The staff are really lovely
What we liked a bit less:
* The décor looks a bit tired...it reminded me of P&O ferries!
* Maybe we were spoiled in the other hotels, but the food here was rubbish in comparison.
We actually planned to eat somewhere else on our second night, even though the food was included in the price(!) In the end, we were so tired after our mountain walk that we stayed here again for our meal.
One of the main problems was the translation of the food, as we could never be sure what we'd end up with. The first night Marc ordered "medallions" which turned out to be a white fish (we had assumed it would be pork), the second night we both ordered "steak" which also turned out to be white fish (wtf!?) We had made friends with some other walkers who were equally confused by the menu compared to what food actually appeared! read more
