I stayed here "back in the day" 1984. Nice back then, the price was fair and the location was central enough as we were all on bikes.

When I first arrived to this Ibis, it really got my attention. This Ibis is green, unlike the one I…read moreused to been. Well, my partner did the booking, so it was more a surprise just to me. And I have been told that the color for Ibis style. I have been to quite a lot Ibis hotels before, the main difference for me beside the colors of their logo, also the style of the hotel as well. They did get bigger room. Well, I could be wrong. Because we did get a free upgrade with our room. It was great. The room we were staying I really like it. Although it was facing the U-Bahn station, it wasn't so loud if the window was closed. I like the sound of the train anyway. And the view was amazing. The only problem I got was, the free WiFi wasn't really working when I was at the room, but as long as I went back to the lobby. Everything worked again. Probably out of rage. The breakfast buffet was another let down to me. I am not really a breakfast kind of guy like my partner. I was quite easy to please. But the buffet here was quite lack of choices well, at least some of the dishes which usual I used to see were missing. So I didn't eat that much there. As I mentioned it earlier, there was a U-Bahn station close by and couple tram, bus stops around, it made it really easy to get around the city. We didn't have any problems during our staying. I like it quite a lot beside the breakfast.

There is actually a separate entry room with another door you can close to the bedroom, so that blocked any hallway noise. We did not spring for the breakfast. Our double bed was not American style, but two single futon-like mattresses, but we'd rather our traveling experience be authentic than a copy of what we'd get at home. It is very walkable from the U stop and there are strassenbahns that stop within a block. No wi-fi, but they'll give you a LAN cable for your room.

Having breakfast on site was a great plus. The room was clean and every person on the staff was excellent. I recommend this hotel as a very good value. The neighborhood is safe, and while I did not have a car, street parking appears to be available. I will plan to stay at this hotel during my next stay in Vienna.

The staff is top-notch; always working hard, very easy to approach and always courteous, and the lobby amenities are a really nice touch. The room is comfortable, bathroom is just large enough, and the bed is easy to sleep in. The tub-shower was a little hard to get used to. The adjustable spray nozzle was mounted on the wall facing the bathroom door, with a very short glass window to block overspray. It was a cramped space for a shower while trying to keep the floor dry. Also, the hose connection for the sprayer was leaking at the tub faucet connection. My height, and the need for sprayer to be moved higher could have contributed to this. This tub-shower setup should be reevaluated. Overall, it was still a very nice stay.

The room was literally a ****hole, 92 degrees, dirty, smelly. I could not let my son stay in those conditions. Hotel refused to return at least part of the money. Twilight zone, stay away, there is a lot of other hotels around. Partially the blame is on Booking.com, careless and unhelpful company who did nothing to resolve this.
