This ended up being a perfect hotel for a last minute stay in Augsberg. It's very 70's but really…read moreclean and the front desk people are really nice. Room and matttess were comfortable and I like how the windows opened out.

The first thing I enjoy it is about a 10-minute walk to the city center. Königsplatz. Visiting my…read morehometown, I am glad it is in such a good location. Trolley cars, buses, and taxis are all nearby. The rooms ( well, at least the room I ended up with) are quite small. Especially the bathroom, I have to go in sideways to get to the toilet. But maybe it's me/ my voluminous body. But it is clean, and I don't rent a hotel room to dance in. The bed ( for my German standards) is just great. Breakfast is quite good, it's 17 Euros if you pay each time. I didn't rent my room with breakfast included because I don't know if I will eat breakfast there every day. Price-wise, it is just fine for the location. Now, the staff. They alone deserve a 5-star. Extremely friendly, helpful, professional, accommodating to everything I needed extra. The staff alone made the stay worth it. I do want to point out, Laura, she's a doll and so kind. Also, 2 young men on the night shift. I don't know their name. One of them is wearing glasses, and the other has a few tattoos on one arm, I think. Both very kind and likable. Also, the staff in the dining room area. Friendly and helpful. Especially one lady I had noticed worked so hard keeping all the tables clean and ready for the guests, and making sure the food was all ready for us. All in all, if you need a clean room for a reasonable price, with great service, and you're okay with not expecting a football field of a room. Go for it.

We were horrifically disappointed by Augsburg (probably didn't see the right stuff) but the hotel…read morewas ok. Room was on the small side but hotel is in a good location. We both had stomach issues so we spent the night in the room, watching MTV Europe. And saw possibly the best video of our entire lives- "Fuck You All" by Melendiz. That's worth 5 stars. But the hotel only 3.

The place is clean and the front desk staff is generally inviting. We found that not all the staff that work in the hotel are courteous. I don't know if it's because we were pegged as americans or what. We mentioned it to our local friends and, unbeknownst to my wife and I, they called the hotel and complained about the service at breakfast. We did not know he had contacted the hotel until after. He felt embarrassed about our experience. My wife and I didn't take it personally. We had the worry that we would get to the hotel after hours but were told that if we knew we would be late we would be given instructions on how to get in the door and that our keycard would be waiting on the front desk. We found that quite nice. The room was a little smaller than expected but that was our fault for not paying great attention to the online pictures and descriptions. Would we stay there again on our way through Augsburg? Probably not. But four stars regardless.
