Two nights here, it is quite good. I do not have status with the IHG chain but I had booked direct so we were put in a twin bed room on the first floor facing the street. Despite that, there wasn't too much street noise and the balcony overlooking the main roadway was nice to sit on for a bit. The hotel does not have its own parking and instead contracts with a parking deck about 20 meters further along that charges a pretty hefty €25 per day. The room was clean and comfortable. We did not put out the do-not-disturb and so the room was refreshed while we were out sightseeing. Coffee service, fresh towels and the beds were made. They did a good job. Breakfast in the -1 level was very good though I don't know that it was €15 per day good. It's only €10 if you book it when you make the reservation. Typical European continental breakfast with eggs, bacon, breads for toasting, lots of pastries, fresh fruit, cereals, sliced ham and turkey and cheese, etc. Coffee is made to order and I was able to put away a pretty decent sized pot of Americano while waiting for my travel mate to wake up, up stairs. The hotel is not quite centrally located but there are restaurants nearby and the Verona Arena is only a mile away down the well traveled boulevard. Bathroom consisted of full sized shower and separate bathtub with television so you can soak and relax. Front desk attendants were friendly and extremely helpful. I found the easiest way to get here from the train station was by taxi ($10 euro inc tip). Google Maps transit guide cannot be trusted. Buses with route numbers greater than 100 do not stop in Verona as suggested by Google. The bus shelter is confusing to a first timer. Not sure when to stand at island B1 or B2. I got on the 51 which listed the correct direction stop on its board only to find that it meant where it was coming from, not going. Not sure why I care where it's been but after 3 stops I knew it was definitely going the opposite way that I was supposed to be. The walk may be 15 minutes but it's uneven surfaces and across a major roundabout intersection. In short, spend the ten.

Very helpful and courteous front desk. As a member of Leading Hotels of the World I received a complimentary upgrade at check in. Very nicely appointed room with a nice walk in rain shower. Excellent breakfast buffet and gorgeous rooftop restaurant / bar. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

A beautiful hotel in the heart of the city…read more A few highlights: The hotel is stunning, with high ceilings and art everywhere you look. The rooftop has a great view. You get a lot of nice snacks for free with any drinks. Even though it's right in old town, it's not too inaccessible for taxis and cars. The only minor nitpicks: The bed sheets were surprisingly stiff. I do think the breakfast could be a bit better (the a la carte items should probably be free)

It was a pretty tall building so if you had a high floor, the view was nice. There was also a pool and a terrance area on the roof. Great place to watch the sunrise and sunsets.

I have stayed in hotels in many countries around the world and many throughout the states and the service from the staff here blows every single other hotels service out the water. I was in town for two weeks and every morning and every night there was a friendly face giving advice and helping in every way possible. Having seen a lot it takes a lot to impress me but when I left I felt like I was leaving friends behind. They were that awesome.

We took the train from Bolzano Italy and walked from the train station to the hotel, though I wouldnt recommend this if your bag doesnt have wheels. Its also a 2 hour train ride from Venice. I did not have the breakfast or eat at the restaurant, so I have nothing to offer you there. We did, upon arrival, receive Easter bread and a glass of wine. Nice touch!

I couldn't be more satisfied with the location. As for the hotel itself, very elegant. The highlight for me was the lounge area that had refreshments and snacks. Every time prior to heading out, stopped by for a quick snack and enjoyed a couple glasses of prosecco. The lounge seats are so comfortable and I frequently saw the staff fluff up the cushions whenever someone leaves. The bar area is also a very cozy area to park yourself and enjoy a cocktail. There are several "study" areas with chairs and tables which played well with their name of the "Accademia". The hotel room itself was also very cozy and comfortable. Nicely sized room and bathroom to fit my luggage in the room and toiletries on the bathroom counter without feeling cramped.

Great 4 star hotel in the middle of Verona - close to everything…read more It's a town hotel in an old classic building which leads to quite confusing ways to the rooms but this is also part of the extraordinary ambiance of the house as on the other hand the rooms are nicely renovated with parkett floors, spacious bathrooms but still show a lot of character from the old times. Service is definitely on the level of a 4 star hotel, breakfast is good and the beds really comfy. I surely can recommend this hotel.

Its location could not be better as it is located in the middle of the historic district and literally a few steps from the Arena. There are many trendy shops and restaurants of all types nearby and you are in easy walking distance of most of the sights of Verona. Traffic is highly restricted in the historic district so there isn't any street noise and with the windows shut the room was very quiet. We had one of the rooms with a balcony which was very nice for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. Our room was small but comfortable and the bathroom was modern. The breakfast is good but not spectacular. All of the staff however have been outstanding. They are friendly and helpful and have made our stay a real pleasure. Verona is a low key city compared to Rome and Florence but has excellent sights, isn't touristy, isn't crowded (at least October) and we have eaten better here than any other place in Italy. We would definitely recommend the Hotel Giulietta e Romeo.
