Near the newly constructed university campus, this is a clean and rather brand new hotel. The rooms…read moreare simple and have eliminated a closed cupboard in favour of a hanging bar and desk, and spaces are optimized to the tee, but the furniture is modern and everything is totally clean. Rooms, hallways and the breakfast room are bright thanks to plenty of windows. A point off for the location, along the train tracks in a rather industrial area (not even post-industrial!), where you're about 750 meters to the nearest source of food. At night, I was too scared to go outside alone as a single woman, so if you stay here, consider that you have to walk about 1km to go eat, best done with a friend, or take a taxi. There is a bus stop out front but at night it doesn't seem to run very often. The train runs to the back of the building but I'm a light sleeper and I didn't hear it at all, probably at night they don't pass, and when they do run it's really quiet anyway. Breakfast of the standard Italian variety, cornetti, cakes, white bread, meat, cheese. I paid 55€ online for a double, single use, and i can say it's not a luxury hotel but I certainly slept well and appreciated the cleanliness, service, and proximity to the university where I was attending a conference.

Sitting outside the outskirts of Venice, this family owned hotel has that old rustic feel of Italy…read more So rustic meaning is a little old (old rug, old furniture) but it is very clean and well kept. The rooms are spacious with big bathrooms. All rooms have a flat screen tv however it's pretty much just Italian channels (good for learning new Italian words if you can't speak any of it like me). I was here as part of a tour group and they treated us like family. The owners are gracious and kind people. The food is cooked with love, we ate deliciously for two days. If you are trying to save money but still want a nice place this is it.

A very average hotel. On the one hand the location is ideal - beachfront and with great views,…read moreshould you get one of the seaview high floor rooms. And the place is quite new. On the other hand, this hotel claims to be 4-star which it is clearly not. I would give maximum 3 stars. Despite being new this place has a number of design errors, and not-so-comfy features. Beds for example are individual with a gap in between. Why would someone do that? The bathroom is small and there's not even a toilet paper holder. In the shower there's no space to put your shampoo bottles. Why has no one though about these things? The hotel claims "ultra fast wifi" which is a very bad joke. Wifi is very slow despite low occupancy during my stay. Don't count on it. Oh, and you need to log in with Facebook to get online and give them all your personal data. Bad! They also claim "soundproof rooms" which is another bad joke. You hear everything what your neighbor does. And don't expect to go to bed too early. Parties in the restaurant are heard loudly through the staircase also to upper floors. In my case so loud I couldn't sleep until way after midnight. Remains the restaurant. We had half board - a big mistake. Boring food and very average raw materials make for a disappointing experience. Breakfast was small but okay (Italian average). If you stay there, eat outside.

We stayed at Relais Ca' Sabbioni while we came to visit our son for a week in Italy. Our stay and…read morethe service at this hotel was exceptional. Michele, the owner, took care of every detail for us. He greeted us at 1am (our flight arrived at midnight), showed us our room and had drinks waiting for us and he was there for our wonderful complimentary breakfast too! Every detail was taken care of. The Restaurant in the hotel was wonderful. We were a little worried at first because it was a very small restaurant but the food was amazing! We ended up eating dinner there about four nights out of the 7 nights of our stay! The hotel was conveniently located with the bus stop across the street. It took about 20 minutes to get to Venice by bus. Needless to say, we will be back!

We were pretty tired and unsure of location of Relais or bus system, so grabbed a taxi. About a 20 minute drive from the train station, we fell in love with the beauty of Relais and the charm of the staff. Alice greeted us so excitedly--I could name a future child after her as she was such a sweet woman! She was the first of each hotel to congratulate us for our honeymoon (David marked it in notes) AND they had a bottle of Prosecco for celebration. While we had discussed venturing into Venice for the evening, we were convinced to stay at the hotel and enjoy the restaurant there. Best decision ever!! We were comfortable in our room. Had our own controls for thermostat. The bed was comfy and bathroom spacious. I love the modern look in this historical building(1693, but B&B open 1 year). The hallways of the hotel and music that jived reminded me of a Westin. Michele (owner) probably has never been to a Westin, but he's done a fabulous job. I wish we could have seen the other rooms! And ladies and gentleman, we really loved our dinner. It was not included in our reservation, but it was worth every penny. The chef prepared amazing dishes the first night, so we knew we would return the following night. Bottomline: If you are planning a trip to Venice, Italy, we highly recommend Relais. It is not in the city center, but it is close enough (a 20 minute drive) that you can enjoy the tourism and hustle and bustle when you go into town, but you can escape the noise and relax in Ca'Sabbioni for your evenings. Grazie Relais Ca'Sabbioni! We hope there are many wonderful years in your future--and we especially hope we can return one day. Ciao!
