I rarely take the time to provide feedback, but I was shocked by their service I received at your hotel so I felt the need to reach out in person. The level of customer service and the standards displayed at your hotel are less than sub-bar.
First, I was shocked to see that you still offer a breakfast buffet during times like these. Is it allowed according to local standards? Maybe, but that doesn't mean you can not put in extra efforts to make your customers feel save. This morning I witnessed at least three guests touching the food without gloves which makes me more than uncomfortable. I understand you usually offer a buffet but during unprecedented times like these, maybe rethink your concept and help stop the spread of covid rather than putting customers at risk. For example, we recently stayed at a hotel in Napa Valley and they turned their continental breakfast buffet into a small menu that they serve at the table for increased safety.
Second, when being seated, the hostess automatically tries to put all guests as close together as possible. I assume this is of laziness to make the serving easier. In my eyes, this is very inappropriate if you have a breakfast room this large. You should space out customers out by default.
Third, I went to the reception desk to leave my feedback. The lady, Frau Stemple, was rude immediately and gave me an attitude. All she kept on telling me was that a buffet is allowed, which wasn't really my point. She didn't care when I told her that I saw at least 3 people touching food without gloves. Maybe over to sanitize or replace the silverware etc? No, just attitude. When I pointed out that her mask is not worn properly, she was wearing it under the nose, she said that she is not required to wear it if she's behind the desk. Really? If I as a customer point this out, should she pull it up to make me comfortable. No! She actually pulled it down all the way. Then she was referring guidelines ghat state that she doesn't need to wear her mask behind the front desk. I asked to see the guidelines and she refused impolitely. read more
