Made for a not pleasant nights sleep. Couch bed was pulled out and made up for our girls when we got there. Yay! Very happily surprised when we walked into that. Hotel had a small ice machine on 0 floor next to the elevator. Inside hotel was clean and quiet. Dennis on desk when we checked in was super helpful and friendly! And this morning when we checked out the Girl was friendly, Kasia I think her name was. Breakfast was a European breakfast which is still taking some getting used to for us Americans. Room temperature ham and cheese, yogurts, a few cold cereals to choose from, croissants, chocolate crosswinds yesterday that were the best! There is a pancake machine in the back corner, the the adjoining room. Hot drink machine, tea bags, 3 juices, 2 milks, and water for the drink options. Hotel doesn't seem to be in the best area but we have definitely stayed in shadier areas. Overall, we were happy. Got a great deal on IHG.com and will keep this hotel in mind when coming back. If driving yourself then it was pretty easy to get to the chocolate museum parking garage which is where we parked for the day. Parking was €10 per night. We paid it up front and then when we left they scanned our ticket so we could leave the parking lot.

I would suggest finding lodging in city center. Cab is $15-2o Euro Bus is 13 Euro family pass for one day. Walk to bus deemed unsafe for solo travelers, esp female. (- -) air blew warm all night. Very uncomfortably warm - like getting stuck in a hot car with the windows rolled up. Front desk girl cannot "do anything" because I booked via a service. Still, she is kind and wanting to help.

It's very unfortunate, that this hotel turned out to be not so good. The location is awesome but…read morethe hotel is not. When we arrived the hotel was locked up and no one was around. I called the emergency number and was told to wait in the heat with our luggage, this was in the middle of the day. After a long wait, we we're finally let in. We had a room on the top floor but their elevator didn't work. We had to carry our heavy luggage up the tiny steep stairs, what joke! The room smelt old and unkept. It looked very out of date, ancient and not taken care of. The front desk people are very unkind. Next day we asked them for late check out so we could see the museum next door, the front desk person said that was fine. Surprisingly we got a call saying we were late on the checkout by the same front desk person. I'm not sure what's going on at this hotel but it's not worth the expensive rates they charge especially without a working elevator or any kindness.

This place is actually a scam. It does not have a physical reception; it is on another location. When arriving there, no one's there and simply no one would pick up the phone. Additionally, next to the inconvenience of being abandoned with luggage, they dared to charge my credit card and not give it back. TERRIFIC!
