We have stayed at all sorts of high end hotels over the years and Le Royal now ranks in our top 3. First and foremost, the service is stellar! The staff is very good and they anticipate all your needs. They are very proactive and will go beyond the call of duty to help on any topic. Second, the hotel and its grounds are gorgeous. Classic historical premises, incredible location by the beach front, expansive and flowery beautiful grounds... Last but not least, the food is succulent. They have two restaurants- Le Fouquet's and Le Ponton, which is on the beach. The breakfast buffet is one of the very best we have seen in terms of variety and quality. We will be back!

A day later, she called. By that time I had already made a booking, but, decided to take her up and cancel the other table. This was a great decision. The resturaunt is a delight. Small enough to feel intimate, but large enough to have a feeling of a real treat. The decor is really full of whimsy and, well, the food, is wonderful. We had attentive service and a casual, elegant meal that was a real treat. This is not a place with a large wine list, but really, when take together, the experience was actually perfect.
