Stayed here with my 10 year old daugther. We had just visited Denmark and was on our way to the South part of Germany and needed a place to stay for the night. All the places in Hamburg were too expensive. Not too far from the freeway. You could park free onsite. It was approximately 30-40 mins south of Hamburg. Was given a room at the other building. We were on the 2nd floor and had a nice view of the park. The room was a bit dated but clean. The bath room wasn't too small. It was decorated nicely and had a nice sink and shower. The tv in the room was a small flat screen on the wall. The bed was comfy. However, the blanket was a bit thin. It was July and I had to wear a sweatshirt to keep warm. The breakfast buffet was from 730am - 9:30am. There was only 1 other famiy in the room. The room is quite big. There is a variety of yogurt, sliced meats, hard boiled egg and scrambled egg, tee-wursten (similar to pate), variety of bread and water, milk, juice and coffee. We got there at 8:30am. As soon as I entered the breakfast room, the lady asked me if I wanted coffee. As soon as she provided me with a carafe, she disappeared. Normally, I am not a complainer of food. However, the bread there wasn't fresh and very hard. I couldn't understand how that could happen since breakfast didn't start too long before and directly across the street from the hotel was a bakery. The rest of the food was fine. I had a hard time logging into wifi. You get a piece of paper that said you need to connect to Heidenauer Hof and not Heidenauer Hof 2. However, after several attempts to log onto the 1st domain. I tried the 2nd and was able to log in. Aside from the bread and wifi, the place wasn't too expensive to stop for the night. read more
