Given its price point, I had no regrets having booked this property, it's good. Nothing amazing of…read morecourse at this price point, about what one would expect. Hard to imagine that this counts as a 4 Star, but do keep in mind that ratings in Europe are different. I'd put it at a 3 Star without doubt.
Design: the exterior neoclassical design is quite nice, it is cozy, inviting and at the same time, elegant. Probably the best part about the hotel. The lobby is small and simple, as one would expect for a hotel in this range. The room design was also quite a simple one and was a bit cramped, but modern and nice which is contrasting to many hotels in Rothenburg that show their age and lack of upkeep.
Service: at check in, they were very direct as people appear to be all around Germany. Basically, straight to the point, no chatter. The lady was kind to walk us to the room.
Comfort: the room bedding was again about what one would expect, not particularly comfortable, but bearable. There is no air conditioning, which can get annoying depending on the weather. Coffee maker did not work despite many attempts. Parking is very limited. Shower was nice and hot.
Overall impression, I'd stay here again as options are pretty slim in Rothenburg. However, it does have improvement areas and this design is much nicer than the old hotels around town.
