We loved this place. We visited early in Spring from America with a family group with three children (6,11,12). Rick Steve's German Guidebook highly recommends this place and the town, for good reason. My feeling is that this place is not usually a place for children but they could not have been more accommodating. We had one room with a Mosel view (#8) and another overlooking the Square (#7). The inn itself is a sight and the main square is incredibly quaint. They also rent apartments on the square which would have been good for our group but I am glad we stayed in the main house. The terrace is a great place to enjoy the river and the wine. Again, not likely a typical place for children but it was very early in the season and everyone was so nice and accommodating. The owner is super nice and the restaurant is great. Breakfast in the main hall is a treat as the room evokes the feeling of being in a Knights hall in a Castle. We enjoyed an excellent meal one night in the restaurant as well. read more
