There were only two hotels that came up ok on this part of town. And since the other one was sold out, I had to book the second best. The hotel won't let you check in before 2pm, but they were nice enough to let us leave our things behind and when we got back they were already inside our room.
First of all the hotel doesn't look inviting. It had these steep, concrete stair case that's not well lit so you have to be very careful going up the stairs. Ones you're up the top of stairs you'll go through a double door to the reception desk, which you'll be greeted with two pleasant female employees that will give you a cold drink. Just by judging the outside of the hotel, I was very leery how my room would look like?
The room was clean and doesn't have anything extra but just the norm. Two lamps on each end table and an old looking dresser with mirrors. Enough room to move around to were you won't bump into each other. The shower is a stand alone, but it does have a door.
I went out to investigate the area and I discovered trash sort of area...not a trash landfill but a building that hold trash in an open area, which is not a good site nor smell behind the hotel. Though it's close to a mall where you can grab a few bites, but not a good place to shop--not anything that you'd like to take home. The hotel is right on a busy street so expect jeepneys and tricycles all day and night.
I'm not saying this hotel is bad but I'm not saying it's good. What I do say? It offers a clean facility and good location in a very good price.
My suggestion: if you're on a budget it's not a bad place, but there other hotels in the area that's still a good price and offers a better quality. read more
