In the small town of Ried im Oberinntal, at the bottom of the mountain road towards Serfaus, Fiss…read moreand Ladis, hidden at the very end of the village, you'll find this amazing hotel called Mozart Vital.
I've had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Mozart Vital for about ten times over the past years and each and every time has been a joy!
The atmosphere is very homely, the staff amazingly friendly, the rooms lavishly equipped and rather modern, the spa very relaxing and the food in the restaurant is of an incredibly high standard.
The whole place looks authentically Austrian but with a very modern touch to it.
Imagine waking up in the morning on a very soft squishy bed with an even softer and warmer blanket. The first thing you do is open the curtains to have a look up the mountain to check out the weather; awesome! Clear skies and the sun is just coming over the mountain ridge.
A quick dress-up in some easy fitting clothes will do just fine for breakfast.
In the restaurant you're welcomed by one of the very friendly waiters on your way to the "eier-station", that's German for egg-station. And that's another word for "order-which-ever-egg-you-like-and-we'll-make-it-for-you".
With some scrambled egg, a small sausage and some toast on your plate, and a nice and hot, steamy coffee you make your way to your table.
About 45 minutes later you, all dressed up for a good day skiing, you head down to the basement to get your ski's from the heated, guarded ski-room. From there it's just 10 steps to your car in the underground parking, or 20 steps to the private ski-bus waiting outside to take you up to the Serfaus, Fiss, Ladis ski-arena.
After an amazing day of skiing (during which you'll have had lunch at restaurant Cervosa Alm, of course) you return to your room, strip down, put on a bathrobe and head down to the huge spa area for some rounds in the sauna, the steam room, a lie down on some heated beds or maybe even a massage. Not up for all the sweaty-stuff? There's two large swimming pools to try and a huge, bright orange, waterslide to ride.
Totally relaxed right? Now it's about time to dress up for dinner. Not too chic, but no t-shirt either. Just right, exactly like the atmosphere in the restaurant it self.
You'll sit down for some amazing food and dito wines. Four courses every night, no exceptions.
After dinner pop down to the bar for a nice cup of coffee, have a sit in the lounge to enjoy some piano music or try your hand at a game of snooker. It's all possible at Hotel Mozart Vital.
Feel satisfied now? Time to cuddle up under those warm blankets again to do it all over again the next day!
