I saw the picture of the hotel from the outside and it looked like something from the 60's. The Jetson's came to mind and I thought of this 1960's era, futeristic styled decor. However, it's quite nice inside.
We had a bit of a snafu while checking in, but the receptionists were quite calming and helpful. Which is what I needed after being delayed by a day. She did get us signed in and up to a room. Unfortunately, the oppressive heat didn't allow us to enjoy it as much as we would have liked.
But the room was a great, air conditioned, refuge away from the bustling city. The maid was great and left little designs on our bedspread after cleaning each day.
The receptionists also helped us make arrangements to take a tour of the cenotes in the area and Chichin Itza. There is a cute little gym on the premises that wasn't really used and a pool. Had I'd known, I would have brought a bathing suit. But I really enjoyed staying there and would stay there again, if visiting the area. read more
