The location is hard to beat, especially for skiing, since it is right next to the gondola. The room was very clean, the beds were comfortable, and the shower felt great after a long day on the mountain. Rooms and bathrooms are big and spacious and housekeeping did an excellent job every day. We always enjoyed coming back to a clean and tidy room and seeing how nicely everything had been put together. We noticed housekeeping would mop and vacuum the room too, going above and beyond what is otherwise expected. Breakfast every morning was one of the highlights of the stay. David and the team were very friendly and always greeted us with a good morning and a smile, which was a nice way to start the day. They would go out of their way to remember our drink orders and other requests, ensuring we had everything we needed to enjoy our meals. The front desk staff were also very helpful and Harry had great recommendations for things to do around the village. The spa was another standout. The salt bath, steam rooms, and saunas were excellent, especially the day after a big day of skiing. The gym was also great, and the mountain views from there were pretty incredible. We also spent a good amount of time on the balcony just relaxing in between busy days, taking in the views. What really sets this hotel apart is that it combines convenience, comfort, and genuine hospitality in a way that made the whole trip feel special. Overall, I have a lot of great things to say about the Strass and would absolutely stay here again.

As guests from the USA, we love coming to Europe to enjoy the more traditional alpine ski resorts, and Sporthotel Strass ticks all of our boxes for the perfect European ski trip. Clean, comfortable, caters to a variety of guests and right next to the ski lift! This is a hotel that I will always recommend. The staff remain exceptional this year - always attentive and polite. Everyone is always extremely helpful and friendly and they go out of their way to ensure we are comfortable and have everything we need. Amenities are food options in the hotel are plenty, suited to a variety of guests. One thing I always appreciate is how clean the hotel is. The common areas and the rooms are spotless, and we have observed how attentive the staff are to keeping it clean and inviting. The rooms are spacious and very thoughtfully designed, with a huge walk in shower and bathroom. The beds are extremely comfortable and the view from the balcony looking over the mountains never fails to amaze me. We have also been enjoying the breakfast and dinner on offer at the hotel. The dinner has delicious options that change each night which make the dining experience even more exciting. The restaurants are so clean and the staff are once again very attentive and accommodating. It's impressive how they manage to transform the ambiance and experience from breakfast to dinner service in the same restaurant. This year I also got to experience the snow in the village which is breathtaking, as an Arizona desert native ! If you happen to be arriving by bike, as I did twice, you will find the hotel to be very bike friendly with secure storage, pumps and tools. The only negative is the outdoor patio staff was painfully slow and made me not have dinner there the second night. The wifi Internet range was very limited and spotty. The only real negative is the proximity to the central church which has bells that go off every 15 minutes! I didn't sleep great either time I stayed there.
