The grounds, exterior and location of the this hotel are all wonderful. Unfortunately the same cannot be said for the rooms, the food or the overall layout of the hotel.
The grounds are stunningly gorgeous. It was too cool for us to enjoy the pool while we were there but it didn't stop us from snapping a group photo with the pools so we could remember the loveliness. There are some very pretty walking paths that we didn't get a chance to check out but looked really nice from our balcony. The exterior of the hotel is very inviting with waterfall sculpture to welcome you. The easy access to the town is a real bonus. We really took advantage and walked into town on multiple occasions.
The rooms, however, are in much need of updating. The beds are not particularly comfortable, with old mattresses and bedding. Our rooms were located very far from the lobby and the walk was very long. There was an exterior door near our rooms but they kept it locked. It meant a really long walk every time we went outside and into town. Also, the bank of elevators near our rooms were out of service, making the trek even worse. (We ended up using the stairs most of the time - probably better for us anyway.) We had both a dinner and a breakfast here. Both were sub-par! The dinner in particular was poor.
The hotel has great potential but could use some TLC. ur review helps others learn about great local businesses.
