Hotel is very lovely. I had a junior suite which was super huge. The bed is comfortable and the seating area is spacious. You have to figure out where to find the remote control for the heater but don't expect it to be super hot. The best part about the hotel is the restaurant. The breakfast was decent but the dinner is great. The cocktails were amazing but do try the more substantial dishes. The complimentary bread is fresh and dipping sauces were super spicy. the steak is amazing. the chile relleno a $6 is out of this world, so you have to get it. There is a local deep fried beef, very interesting. There are varies soups to choose from. The hotel is very secure. There is a guard standing in the front with gated metal door. It's right at the old town square so it's good to eat then go for a walk. I would not recommend eating in local joint unless you know the food can be trusted. This was by far one of the best places to stay and best places to eat. Try to grab a seat near the garden and look out. I dined on my own on the last night there. I needed a break and had tamarind margarita. A total winner combo. If you find yourself in Moralia, please do stay here. Better than most with a great restaurant to boot.

Beautiful hotel, right down the street from the cathedral. I'm only giving it 4 stars because we wanted to eat there at the hotel (keep in mine we stayed there for three days) but told us we couldn't because their reservation list was full. It would have been nice to know that they had a reservation thing before going back to the hotel hungry just to be told we couldn't eat there or get food taken to the room. Do not get the coffee or cappuccino there it is not good at all. The breakfast on the other hand is very good

The courtyard fountain

One of the oldest but remodeled and up to date in Morelia. The workers are very friendly and heblpful and mostly speak in English . The only advice is not to get the rooms facing the street. (Room 403 , if you open the window there is car noise and car smoke in the room and if you close it noisy air conditioner will disturb a good night sleep). The restaurant in the courtyard is beautiful and once you try their food you won't be able to go anywhere else.

Room view

Love this hotel and its views. Walking distance to downtown and near restaurants and shopping. For sure coming back again!!!

Hmmm- kinda overrated. Stayed there for two nights. The locals consider it high end because it's…read morecolonial and on the pricier side. Not all rooms have air conditioning so make sure to request a room with it. Ours didn't come with it, but they put some fans in our rooms so it was okay. They have WiFi too, but it was so lame in our rooms. Our stay included breakfast- it was just okay. During our first morning, the food and coffee was cold. When I told one of the waiters, he got upset. They're also limited on options- like no spinach for my omelet or cheese (wtf). Sigh. The breakfast the second morning was better (guess they got the message from the day before). It's right in the center of Morelia, so that was great:

My wife and I stayed a night here after failing to find an AirBnb. For $74 USD (booking fees…read moreincluded), I'd say this place was a steal compared to other hotel and AirBnBs in the area. The Hotel is built in an 18th-century building overlooking the historic center of Morelia. The building itself it absolutely gorgeous; feels like you're walking around an old castle. The old paintings and suits of armor really help the atmosphere. The centerpiece is the mind-blowingly large stained-glass ceiling over the main lobby. The basic room we got was pretty small, but totally functional. Bed was a queen-size, the bathroom and shower were spacious enough (oddly, the bathroom had a window that opened up to the main hallway). Our stay included a continental breakfast, between the decor of the dining room and the excellent staff seemed a better deal than most hotels. Long story short, if you're in Morelia and you can stay here it's worth it. Stop by even if you don't to check out the decor.

My family and I were visiting Morelia and we have been wanting to stay at this hotel before so we…read morefigured why not. It's close enough to downtown yet far enough to be have a peaceful and quiet stay. It's in close proximity to the zoo and they have a wonderful restaurant on site as well (not included with the stay) but they do have delicious food. The check in process was easy and smooth, the receptionist was friendly and efficient. They offer free parking on site and valet is also very friendly. I love the details of the hotel. All of the bricks through out the property give it the authentic Mexico feel. As you walk along the property you can also notice designs within the brick walls, it's those nice touches and attention to detail that makes this hotel inviting. As soon as we entered our room the bedding and design throughout the room along with the beautiful brick fireplace make it feel like home. The room was very clean and the placement of the table was right next to window, perfect placement to sit and enjoy your coffee. The size of the room was perfect for my family. The walk in shower is a good size and the bedding is comfortable for a good night sleep. I'm looking forward to staying here again on another visit.

(Valet is your only option unless you park off the property and down the road.) The grounds... Just amazing. Well, kept, groomed, tranquil, quiet and beautiful. Just look at the pictures as my writing skills are not as amazing as the photos. Immediately greeted by a maître d' and seated promptly. The restaurant was simply decorated finely, the tables set beautifully, music playing at the right level and a quiet place in general. The wait staff was attentive, unintrusive and always available. Our head waiter, Julio was just perfect. The meal was tasty, coffee delicious, the juices fresh made in house. Everyone in my group raved about their meal and I sampled each of them and raved just the same. The coffee was rich and dark served with natural sugar, substitutes and milk. Prices were good, especially for this type of restaurant. The bill for 5 of us, all with drinks and some with appetizers was just about $700 (pesos) with worked out to about $10 (American) per person. With tips, we were about $15 a person. No where in the states could you get that kind of service for 3 times that money. The view here, since it is on top of a plateau looking over Morelia, was just breath taking. (Again, see the photos.) Out door seating with that view was available as well as the indoor seating. There was a grand piano inside the restaurant, so I'm guessing at times they have live music. Also, they have a buffet on Sunday morning that I hope I can experience next visit. Also, as beautiful as the hotel was, I plan on not just eating here, but staying here for my next visit. I will update my review on the hotel when I do, but I'm positive that it will be more of the same 5 star rave. I felt like a million dollars here. I felt pampered and left feeling refreshed, full, satisfied and amazed.
