Stayed here on Saturday, November 2 because I was in town for work. The hotel is pretty standard, nothing that really stands out, but nothing that's really all that negative either. The one downer is how thin the walls are though.
There's a restaurant and bar down on the main level that's apparently pretty good. I was just too tired and not up for going out drinking though.
If you're hungry or need something in a pinch and don't feel like going to an IGA, there's a store called Le Depannuer (translated as what else but, "The Store" or "The Pantry) on the street in behind that has yummy subs for fair prices, about $3.99 or so. They also have a decent selection of booze as well, (it is Quebec afterall) There's a laundromat next door as well, so if you're staying here, you can take care of your laundry as well.
The rate per night much more reasonable than here in Sudbury, $86. So if you want a decent place to stay while in Val-D'or, this is what you want.
Pictures will soon follow when I get a chance to edit this review. read more
