Room was 34 degrees and only got hotter. Air conditioning was absolutely horrible. Do not go here in summer months! Not recommended.

The hotel has various rooms accommodating both families and singles and almost all rooms have beach views. The buffet style food was helpful for all schedules and offered enough variety to keep us satisfied. They had local dishes but universal favorites and the chefs and restaurant staff were super helpful if you had dietary questions and concerns. The beach is gorgeous and clean! You can walk along the beach and get your feet wet or be right at the beach on bikes or running along the promenade. It is safe and fun for kids. My only hesitation is that WiFi and any business concerns have to wait until you leave. The WiFi is not fast and for iPhones you have to log in again and again so you might miss messages and chats. However the hotel gave our gang a dedicated code which helped, but it is not the spot for doing business but great for retreats and holiday type events. The hotel is an easy walk from the station and trains run every 30 minutes most days. It is only about 1 hour 45 from the Barcelona airport and a beautiful trip along the coast. The staff was amazing and went out of their way to help and change things as needed. If you are looking for a great relaxing spot this secluded spot along the coast is highly recommended.

Pricing for hotels in this area is a much better deal and offers access to great restaurants, beautiful beaches of the Spanish Riviera, plenty of shopping, and historical venues. The hotel offers parking for an additional fee although spaces are much tighter than what you would find in the US so don't plan to get an oversized vehicle in this parking garage! The folks at the front desk here are exceptionally helpful, offering maps, directions, and any special assistance which we fully utilized when one of our locks got stuck on a suitcase! Rooms are sparse and moderately sized, but are clean have all the basic amenities, including safes and air-conditioning. The Poblet Monastery is a Cistercian abbey in Catalonia and one of the largest in Spain. You can visit the grounds and the chapel without a ticket, which is what we did because we had our dogs with us and it was too cold and windy to wait outside while we took turns viewing the interior. The grounds and surrounding walls are very impressive. The price of admission is 11 euros per person. We initially thought that was high but then noticed that aside from it still being a working monastery, it also provides hospitality programs for youth which are onsite.

Don't miss the great alabaster altarpiece by Damia Forment (1529). You will also find the tombs of Aragon and Catalonia royalty from the 13th and 14th century. An easy day trip from Barcelona, it is not to be missed, it is incredible. Also, it has one of the best gift shops of any tourist site I've been to.
